CertapetReviews of certapet.com

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO LIVE ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS. No where on the CertaPet website does it say they will not work with people who have “aggressive breeds” they will decline you. You will be out $35

This company is nothing but a sham, no therapist is willing to work with them so your application will just sit there. Your personal deadlines pass by, they only communicate in the form of email spam for "Referring a friend" "What to do before flying". Don't trust them, or give them any money.

My wife applied for an ESA letter and was assigned a therapist. Up to this point in the process, things seemed to go well until the therapist contacted her to schedule a telephone interview to complete her assessment for the ESA letter. Unfortunately, my wife was not able to meet any of the time slot due to her work and the therapist was insistent she must be available during any of the time slots. Being unable to come to an agreed time slot, my wife cancelled the order and requested a full refund. The therapist declined a full refund because she stated she already did the initial evaluation and she does not work for free. Within the next day, my wife received a notice for partial refund of the fee paid upfront. In addition, she received an email from the therapist stating she determined my wife did not qualify for the ESA letter due to her high "moral and ethical" standards. If the the therapist indeed had high "moral and ethical" standard, why would she even request a telephone interview. And why the need to state in her letter of such standard unless it was a vindictive attempt against my wife for cancelling the order for ESA letter. She could have simply stated "I'm sorry to inform you that based on my professional evaluation you do not qualify for an ESA letter". I consider the company responsive but they apparently use third party consultants such as this therapist with an over blown "high moral and ethical" standard when a dispute arises.

Don’t call them. First they charge you, then they tell you it will be $50 MORE to have them fill out the Jet Blue forms, then they have you talk to their mental health person and you tell them how your cat helps you de stress from schoolwork, then they DENY the request BUT THEY SAY THEY WILL ONLY REFUBD OART IF UOUR MONEY! SCAM!!! Do NOT call them!!!!!

Almost all airlines require ESA custom forms to be submitted which Certapet charges $49.99 each for; it completely defeats the purpose of purchasing the travel ESA letter from them because it is not valid. Through this company's website and advertisements, it claims to guarantee the ability to fly with your ESA pet at no cost; yet it charges a hefty amount just for your therapist to fill out a form. Your therapist cannot and will not sign the custom form until you upload it on Certapet and pay the price. They do not mention these additional fees until after you have registered and paid for the initial ESA letter (which again, is invalid for almost all airlines). This is a scam.

I reached out to certapet after I spoke to my apartment complex manager. I told her about my mental health issues and she told me I would need a letter to keep my puppy due to restrictions on age. Once I contacted certapet, I was assigned to a therapist Prairie Conlon. She asked me a lot of questions and did not seem sympathetic to my situation. She said she would not give me a letter since my apartment complex already gave me a warning letter about the dog. I tried to explain that my complex did not care whether I was issued a warning because after I spoke with them they said they would accept a letter without any problem. She Said it was her "ethical" duties or something like that. I went to a different site and obtained my letter for a cheaper price and turning it in and it was accepted by my complex. I would not recommend certa pet to anyone needing an ESA letter.

This service gets no stars! After reading raving reviews I paid for it 2 weeks ago and was informed by various emails 1-2 business days to get a professional to interview with me, after filling put preliminary questionnaire, so I could get a letter for my dog to travel with me as an emotional support dog. The last email I received was to let me know that there was no way of knowing when one would be in touch due to Canadian traffic was busy. I have to travel in 2 weeks and have booked flight already. Now during my very busy schedule before leaving I have to find a local professional to get me a letter in time! I do not recommend that anyone buys into this. I only hope I get my money back!

It’s a scam. The letter comes from a doctor out of state and it will not be accepted by your landlord. Email and called for a refund to no response. Waste of $130
