I recommend Certapet, the website is very user friendly, the therapist was very understanding and made me feel comfortable, and you get your letter almost instantly after being approved by the therapist.

Smooth process for my first letter but adding a second pet was somewhat confusing, there’s no guidance on how to do so online so I had to reach out to customer support who provided vague info. Luckily my therapist was helpful.

They have great customer service and I can talk to my therapist they assigned me at any time through email. I only wish that when I was training my dog to be a PSD that they would have been able to refer me to a trainer.

The service I received from Jenny, my assigned therapist, was amazing. She was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my needs and requests. She not only provided reassurance to me but gave me places and other professionals I can follow up with after our session. It was nice to know that there are people out there that still care. Enrollment was relatively easy and questionnaire was well-defined, however, I felt that potential customers are led into a fall sense that the Certapet letter will meet all of the needs of a traveller. I found this to not be the case. The airlines on which I travel most frequently (Air Canada and Westjet) refused to accept the Certapet letter alone; they require that their own medical forms be completed by the therapist and they require their own documentation to be completed by veterinarians (at the dog owner's expense). Certapet charges an additional $49.99 for each airline-acceptance form. My "investment" in ESA support more than doubled when factoring in the additional costs of therapist approvals and veterinary approvals. However, these out-of-left-field additional charges must be weighed against the benefits that the ESA provides and the value of one's health.

I had a rough start but it was more the way I read the application. CertaPet's staff took care of everything to make things right. Also the one thing I'll give them over not just this situation but with any service they get back to you asap no matter what the issue and that's not the case with a lot of businesses so kudos to CertaPet to assist with issues and get back to check if rectified.
