The absolute worst
The absolute worst. I hate text alerts about something that I'm working on with email. Cenlar sends a text alert when insurance information is sent with the language "Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe." If you reply "STOP," you get a message that says "Sorry, this service is not available" and the text messages continue. I have tried this repeatedly. This is a violation of the law. Companies are legally required to stop sending texts after we reply "STOP" under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). We have the right to cancel our consent to receive automated marketing messages at any time. Additionally, Cenlar sent me a notice on 7/10/26 letting me know my homeowners insurance is expiring soon. Odd, since it's paid out of escrow. On 7/23/26, they finally paid the bill, due on 7/25/26, but now they have a message that says I'm late and I can't get the dec page because they didn't pay my insurance on time. This so much more screwing around than I've ever had to do with any other servicer, and these are just the 2 most recent experiences that were finally enough to leave this review. I'm so over it. I am literally leaving the credit union where I've banked for 20 years over their decision to select Cenlar as the servicer, so beware other FIs. If you're thinking about using them, it will almost certainly cost you members.
