Hi John, Thank you for the review. It's too bad that we aren't able to have your review show up on the product that you are reviewing....but I would like to address your question about Knots. Normally, these kits are sent with clear cedar. But starting in April of this year, 2021, clear cedar is no where to be had. The shop that makes these was forced to start using cedar that contains some knots. The wood is defined as STK - Select Tight Knots that should not interfere with the structural integrity of the pieces. We do notate in the description that the wood will contain knots. Maybe you didn't see that. Not only are cedar prices more than triple what they were last fall but wood is just not available in the size/length/quality that in past years has been plentiful. We do hope you enjoy your adirondack chairs! We have a lot of customers to purchase the same kit that you received and customers love them. Holly
