The emphasis Cars & Bids puts on transparency takes a lot of stress out of buying a car online.

My first experience with Cars & Bids and could not be happier. The buyers asked great questions and it was clear they were all knowledgeable about my car. I review the new auction list everyday.

I found out about Cars and Bids via Doug Demuro's Youtube channel. I've been using it ever since! I check it every morning, and have been there to see so many amazing cars come on the site! I've never sold a car on the site, but someday I will.

It took months to list the car. They kept asking for pictures and more pictures. After we took 50 some, they said they weren’t good enough and we had to pay a photographer $250 to do them. Then it took another month of asking for more pictures and videos before they would list the car. They recommended no reserve swearing our car would go so high in price. It didn’t. We could have gotten a better deal at CarMax! Now we are stuck selling our high end, one of a kid car for less than my son got his used car off the street!!!

Hi Cathryn, We've requested more information through Trustpilot so that we can better address your concerns. Our data continually shows that quality photographs, no reserve, and a polite, engaged seller create the best auction results. The delays you describe are far from our normal timeline, and our team would like to review the cause of those delays after you provide the email address associated with your Cars & Bids account so that we can identify your specific auction. You can also contact us at [email protected] from the email address tied to your Cars & Bids account.

Not sure if I would trust them. Tried selling with them and opted for the reserve price. They wouldn't accept it because they're "algorithm" says it wouldn't sell for that much. That's the point of a reserve price tho. I don't want to sell it for less than the "reserve" so if it doesn't sell then I adjust or don't sell at all. They would not let me sell so now I don't think this site is the best place to sell your car. They are just another dealership

Hi Kevin, We've requested more information through Trustpilot so that we can better address your specific concerns. Our valuation team individually reviews each car submitted to us, providing comparable vehicles and reasoning when we're required to ask for a lower reserve. They do not rely on an algorithm as the specialty nature of modern enthusiast cars requires a deep understanding of the market - something our team has demonstrated exceptionally well with the highest sale rate in the enthusiast auction industry. Bear in mind that Cars & Bids incurs substantial costs to list a vehicle at auction and is only able to recoup those costs if the vehicle sells. Listing auctions with reserves above market price is also a disservice to our community of engaged bidders willing to pay a market-correct price for a special vehicle. We look forward to more information from Trustpilot so that we can review the comparable sales shared with you on your submission, and coach our team members where appropriate.
