About Carrier

Carrier Corporation is a global provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Founded in 1915 by Willis Carrier, who is widely credited with inventing modern air conditioning, the company has played a central role in shaping indoor climate control technology for more than a century.Carrier offers a broad portfolio of products, including central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini split systems, and advanced building automation and controls. Its equipment is used in a wide range of environments, from single-family homes to large commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and data centers. The company also provides energy-efficient and sustainability-focused solutions designed to help reduce utility costs and environmental impact. In addition to manufacturing HVAC equipment, Carrier supports installation, maintenance, and service through a network of contractors and distributors. This service ecosystem helps ensure systems are properly sized, installed, and maintained for long-term performance. For consumers evaluating Carrier on a platform like Trustpilot, key considerations often include product reliability, system efficiency, installation experience, customer support, and long-term maintenance costs. As with most HVAC brands, user experiences can vary depending on the contractor installing the system and the specific application of the equipment.

Not the Quality Carrier once had

I do not see a way to respond to carriers response to my trust pilot post. Carrier, my post was made three years ago after the installation of my AC unit. I did have my installer come back and fix all of the problems but I was just bringing it to your attention that it should never have even left the factory the way it did and you push it onto the installers to spend their own time and money to fix the problem that you should have come out to see for yourself but according to my installer carrier refused to send a representative out to see the problem for himself. My Saga continued after installation when I discovered a giant pool of condensate on the floor of my basement. Apparently the installer attached the condensate drain pipe to the wrong pan. Apparently you use a primary and a secondary pan and he must have been tapped into the secondary pan so there was no overflow onto the second pan I don't know it just leaked all over the floor and he had to come back and pipe it. You should label that on your machines to make it easy for the installer to understand which opening the condensate piping should be piped to. On the positive side, I am now getting very good air conditioning throughout the house and even to the second floor. Before this unit I had a Lennox furnace and air conditioning system put in in 2005 and it was never powerful enough to cool or keep the entire house including the second floor where my daughter slept. We had to have electric heaters going during the winter and a window air conditioning unit because it was not powerful enough to get to the second floor. The carrier system does do a good job of moving in the air through the house including the second floor. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this further Paulsch813 at gmail.com

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and for being candid about both the issues you experienced and the performance of your system overall. We’re sorry to hear about the installation concerns you described, particularly the condensate drainage issue and the frustration around how the situation was handled at the time. Proper installation and commissioning are critical to system performance, and what you’ve described does not reflect the experience we aim to deliver. While installations are performed by independent dealers, we do expect our partners to follow manufacturer guidelines, and feedback like yours is important in helping reinforce that standard. We also understand your concern about not having a factory representative involved. In most cases, service and installation issues are handled directly through the installing dealer, but we recognize that this can feel unsatisfying when problems arise. Your comments about improving clarity for installers—such as labeling and guidance—are also helpful and will be taken into consideration. At the same time, we’re glad to hear that your current system is delivering strong, even comfort throughout your home, including the second floor. That kind of whole-home performance is exactly what we aim for, and it’s good to know it’s meeting your expectations now. We appreciate you taking the time to share both the positives and the areas where your experience fell short. If you ever do want to follow up further, the best path is through Carrier customer support or your local dealer so it can be reviewed directly within the proper service channels.

I had my Infinity cooling only system…
I had my Infinity cooling only system installed in 2021. Since this time, I had to have my evaporator coil replaced, a TXV valve on the evaporator coil 2 times 2 blower motors and the inverter. It hasn't been a very reliable system, not like past Carrier systems. The system is great for comfort and sound, just been a little problematic.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your Carrier Infinity® system. We’re glad to hear you’ve been pleased with its comfort and quiet operation, but we’re sorry to hear about the repeated repairs and the frustration they’ve caused. Reliability is important, and we understand how disappointing it can be when a system requires multiple repairs. We appreciate you choosing Carrier and taking the time to provide this feedback.
