Carpet One Floor and HomeReviews of carpetone.com

I called Carpet One at Tulsa Hills in Tulsa, OK looking for grass carpet and said they could order it if I wanted them to. They suggested I use the store that was closest to me, which was at 65th & Garnett, to have it shipped to. I said I would go there to order it. I went to 65th & Garnett store and was told they didn't have it and could not get it. I asked why Tulsa Hills could get it but not the store at 65th & Garnett. They said they didn't carry it. Well I got upset with going in circles so I decided to go to Grigsbys Carpet instead to get it. Johnson Floor & Home Carpet One is to confusing to deal with. I think they need to hone the skills of their employees a little better so they are all on the same page.

The carpet I chose was sold to me as being top quality and the sample certainly felt nice in the store. Once installed, I'm not sure it was even the same stuff since it feels low quality and I have serious doubts as to how long it will last. Since I plan to move in the next year or two, I don't care that much, but if I were shopping for quality carpet to last for years, I would not go there again. As for installation, I've seen better jobs. My stairs look funky in areas and the corners of the carpeting are easily pulled up by my cat. that being said, everyone I worked with at the store and in installation were friendly and prompt.

After being specific as to what we wanted in the carpet, it was not what we had asked for after it was installed. I expressed my dissatisfaction with our salesperson, who did not recall our asking for a pile that did not show foot prints. I was told they would make adjustments, but not without extra charges and they WOULD NOT MAKE ANY COMPENSATION ON THE PRICE IF THE CARPET. There was a very strong smell for three weeks after installation, which we were told there would be none. I cannot in good conscious recommend their services again.

Salesman, Ken McDonald, was wonderful, showed samples, told me about care of floor, what would look best. Answered all my questions, had a real good feeling. Had installed before I moved in so it would make it easier. When I returned the only piece of furniture (couch) had so much floor dust that I had to call cleaner, room had not been dusted, around the room, floor board were not caulked or stapled, floor has seams that really stand out.

1; the sales person did not fully explain what the finished product would look like. We were shown one sample of alabaster oak, but the finished floor displayed a variety of colors that was not what we expected. 2. scheduling was confusing, Got a date of delivery and was prepared for the installer only to find out a day later after waiting and not hearing from anyone that the flooring was back -ordered. compensation was acceptable. 3. installer was sent out to make changes to the flooring to eliminated some of the unsatisfactory sections but we refused his service because he gave me the impression that he was not satisfied with the idea of making the changes. It appeared that he was more concerned about his schedule of an upcoming job that was going to cause him to be late, So I told him to just leave and we kept the flooring that is in place. I am satisfied with the concern of management (Ms. Yvonne)

I was pleased with the carpet, but the installation took 3 days instead of 2 because the installers only worked from 9:00 to 12:00 and then from 1:30 to 3:30. I had to take an additional day off of work because these guys don't work a full day like everyone else.

After reviewing options for a flooring job, I chose carpet one because their reputation and willingness to perform the job the "right way" even though I had other quotes who would do the work for less. I saved the money by doing the demo work myself down to the subfloor. When the day came for the floor to be installed, nobody showed. When we called, we discovered that our products were not ordered and we were not on the schedule. It took several weeks to get one of the two products in, so we lived on the subfloor in the meantime. On the new date of installation, the crew arrived, but a tool needed to cut the brick was at another site and was not available until several days later causing another delay. All in all the work got done though a month late. We are happy with the end result of the work, some minor mistakes in installation were corrected on later installation dates. The main problems we had were with having to delay moving into the bottom floor of our house for a month without really having any communication or explanation as to what was happening. Mistakes happen all the time, but the lack of correspondence made it difficult to deal with and continues to make it difficult for me to recommend carpet one to others.
