We love our carpet but the transition…
We love our carpet but the transition pieces for the foyer tile and carpet were forgotten and after calling a number of times it still is sitting not done. Very disappointed with the service.

Purchased hardwood flooring from Carpet One. Signed contract on 8/10 and flooring delivered on 10/7. Installers came on 10/11 to install flooring and found out that the baseboards were not wide enough for the variance so had to be reordered. Carpet One ordered the wrong width baseboards for the flooring we ordered. Took 4 weeks to get the correct baseboards all the while my house was in disarray. Installers came to install baseboards on 11/8 and found that they were short 50 ft so could not finish the job. Again Carpet One made an order error. Finally finished the job on 11/15. It took 5 weeks to finish a 3 day job due to Carpet One ordering errors. The best they could do was give us a $400 credit. The only positive thing was that the installers were great and did a great job although they had to come 2 extra times to finish the job.

My and my husband purchased the more expensive “luxury vinyl planks” and were very displeased with the quality of the product. We installed ourselves because his dad did professional flooring for years and the install was extremely difficult. The pieces did not snap together well at all and so many chipped and broke off in the process to where we needed a lot more then what we should have. Still we have issues with the prices popping up and separating because they do not click together. We did a different luxury vinyl plank in the master and office that we purchased from Lowe’s (which cost less) and we wish we had gone with them for the rest of the house. The pieces fit together great, no issues of it popping up or apart, and overall the sound quality and feel on bare feet we love so much more. Very disappointed with carpet one. When they called to see how we were satisfied and we told them we were not they didn’t seem to care.

I did a review a couple of weeks ago and so I am following up on what not to do. Do not let Carpet One send out their installers. Not good. Buying from them is ok but that is it. Also another idea is to shop around. Check with Mill Creek Outlet. The salesman was awesome and yes we bought our new floor there. He also recommended a installer that was also very awesome. A father and son team and they did a great job. We also saved around $1300.00 compared to what we spent at Carpet One. So thank you Carpet One for not wanting to work with us, we found a new place to go to for future floor needs.

My wife and I were assuming the military discount would be competitive with that of Lowes. I.e. 10%. This was not the case and they would easily return products if the amount purchased was greater than the amount we needed.

We are very happy with the carpet we selected, the price was reasonable, not the cheapest, but the service is terrible. Installation guy did not have enough carpet to finish the job. So far, we've been waiting 4 days for them to come back and finish it. Repeated calls are ignored. The sales guy came out yesterday and double-checked his measurements, said the installation people would call us in the morning, but they have not done so and I am unable to get through to anyone at their store. My advice: there are lots of better companies to buy carpet from.

After a flood in my home my insurance company was working with Carpet one. I had to have my linoleum and the laminate replaced. I also chose to have the carpet replaced in the living room and my bed room. My husband had just passed away a few months earlier after 45 years of marriage so I was still grieving his loss I also suffer from Multiple Sclerosis and use a scooter to get around my home. After 6 months the laminate started to lift up and many places. A third party came in and stated that the floor was 1/16 of an inch uneven in places and the weight of my scooter was causing the floor to lift up. I was never told that my scooter was an issue. The old laminate that I had for 15 years never lifted under the use of my scooter. I was given some sample flooring to choose from which were Shaw brand laminate. I was never told that it wouldn't hold up with the use of my scooter. If I was told that I needed to upgrade the product I would have paid out of my pocket for that upgrade. I was sold an expensive carpet, now that I look back I realize that she had told me to choose from a few samples for the carpet not to shop around in the store. I was totally taken advantage of with the purchase of the carpet and the low quality of the laminate. Carpet one is not going to do anything about the laminate so I am thee looser in this deal, my flooring looks terrible and when I use my walker I have to careful where I walk as to not trip where the flooring is raised up.
