I have nothing but gratitude to David and Diane with CarePatrol for helping me in placing my husband in a memory care facility. They were compassionate and professional in a time of tremendous stress. This is a great service and I would highly recommend it to anyone having to make the tough decision about placing a loved one in a care facility.

I didn't even know CarePatrol existed until I talked to a different care specialist. I had less than 48 hour notice to move my mom to an adult family home or pay the extra high charges and Ericka from CarePatrol worked all week-end long to not only find me a place for my mom but to find a place that met my requirements of location and highly recommended. I contacted the CarePatrol representative in the St.Louis Mo. area about finding an assisted living facility for my father. My sister and I met with Nancy M. to discuss our options. Nancy listened to our concerns and wrote down the specific things that we were looking for in our search. She asked a number of additional questions about our father, what he's likes, what does he like to do, etc... We had a couple of facilities in mind already, but we wanted to get her input as well since she is very familiar with a number of facilities in our area (not just for assisted living, but independent and skilled as well). She also knows about any violations that have been reported at these facilities, and that's important. Nancy set up meetings at three facilities in the coming days. One facility that we wanted to see she did not set up, and in asking her why, we come to find out that they do not offer the kind of care that we were looking for. This was important, because if we had done this on our own, we would have wasted our time visiting to a facility that would not meet dad's needs. At each facility, we asked many questions ourselves, and then Nancy asked additional ones that we would have never thought of. This is where an advocate really comes in handy. In the end, we selected one of the facilities that we visited, and Nancy worked with us all the way through to signing day. I can't express enough for the help she gave us in this whole process. I have passed her name on to others that I know who are going to be in the same situation as us. Oh, did I mention that their services is free. That's right free. They are paid by the facility where your parent is placed. That's really nice.
