Simply amazing.

I have been using care.com for a few years now to connect me with families that need help. It is a very user friendly app and I'm in have gained some great clients using this service!

Care.com has been my bread and butter for the past five years. I found a longterm position with a family near me, and since that child went to preschool I have connected with many families for various jobs. I like the fact that I can share my background check and have parents leave a review on the site. The search engine helps me find the jobs I really want in my location and pay grade.

The procedure for hiring an applicant was a bit confusing. I have hired someone but keep getting other applicants. Do I need to remove my ad now? And how would I do that?

I am a small licensed home daycare and Julie from this company called me to see if I would be interested in what they call "Galore Marketing" where they say they will market your licensed daycare and send you leads. At first I was not interested because the monthly payment was a whopping $250.00 PER MONTH which is A LOT for a small licensed home daycare. Of course Julie kept calling me to see if I changed my mind and finally I did cave (which I know wholeheartedly regret) and said ok I will try it but I will NOT agree to a whole year. She said no problem you can agree to 3 months so I did. I had to pay $100 initial fee to get started which I think is absolutely ridiculous when the monthly price to this is so expensive but I had the money and I did want to target families in my zip code and surrounding zip codes and that is one thing that care.com promised with this. To make this a long story short I only got 47 leads and only 17 leads were actually from care.com (the rest of the leads were just random people who were looking for childcare in zip codes hours away smh) ....then out of all these leads I only got 2 enrollments since January 2026 and one month I couldn't pay the $250.00 on time so they tacked on 2 more months for me to pay them ugh. I contacted all 47 leads by text, email and calls and only 10 contacted me back .....something is fishy and I feel that they are sending out fake leads since they were caught doing that back in 2025. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY because it's deceptive practices they are using and Julie (the salesperson I got didn't tell ALL details which is deceptive). I will NEVER use care.com again and I plan on letting other licensed and registered home daycare providers to be aware of this lying company.

Care.com is amazing! As a caregiver, I have found wonderful families through this app. However, I would feel much safer if families as well as sitters underwent a background check (since I am a teenager walking into strangers' homes). I would also appreciate a way for caregivers to review families as well so sitters can also ensure they are entering a safe environment. This two-sided trust would do wonders for not just families to ensure safety, but also sitters (which are frequently young women).

Jessica helped me navigate the process from creating the ad, to interviewing, to hiring. I thought the process was very well organized.
