I have applied to 15 jobs since March for senior care and housekeeping and not one response. I have used care.com in the past when it was free and got a few jobs. I am not paying to find a job and not have employers background checked and I found out if you are not a monthly paying member employers won’t see your application. It’s been a waste of time for me and I feel it’s all about money with them. I am trying to delete my account that says im a guest but keeps telling me wrong email or password, neither is wrong. No wonder this website had a lawsuit against them, because everything was true.

I've used care.com twice in two states, for home health care assistance, once for my elderly sister and once for me. Those experiences were pretty much a disaster. In the case of my sister in Raleigh North Carolina, everyone who responded was unreliable, some just didn't show up. In my case, I paid for 2 months of home health care services, and received not one response over one full week of reaching out to caregivers. Given such a deplorable performance, I requested a refund (not even a response from any caregiver), and heard nothing back. It looks like care.com is not only not caring, but generally a ripoff.

I needed a caregiver quickly. I am a stroke survivor and for five years. My wife and I have managed to live independently with me doing what I can and my wife taking care of the house. When my wife fell ill. We realized we needed caregiver assistance. I spoke with several agencies but they all required contracts and minimum time commitments. Care.com was different. They were able to introduce me to caregivers in my area with whom I could work directly. In a matter of days. I had found an excellent person who was willing to help out on a flexible schedule. As a person who values their independence, I am grateful for the support, care.com provides without being intrusive.
