I was looking for someone to help my elderly and disabled parents and found this website, which promises to match you with people offering household support. I was not told when I signed up that I'd have to pay. I received one message ok, then after that I was required to take out a paid subscription in order to receive further messages. I was bombarded with emails several times a day. I logged on to close my account, and immediately having done so received the following email (direct quote!): We appreciate your interest in Care.com; however, we are unable to continue your membership at this time. Effective today, your Care.com account is closed. Reason for closure: In accordance with our Terms of Use, Care.com has the right to terminate member accounts for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, including when a member no longer meets our eligibility criteria, violates our Terms of Use or Content Policy, or is not suitable for participation in our community. Please review our Terms and Content Policy for more information. I'm pretty furious!! This site is taking advantage of people who need help. It could have been my 87 year old mother in this situation and she would not have known what to do. Disgusted.

Great connections through care.com. I'm thankful to have them to locally share my skills and availability. I love the mandated background check as well. There are always seniors needing help and I'm thankful for a platform that allows then to connect with experienced and vetted caregivers.

I love this app, the only thing I wish it would allow us to do is rate families and how they treat those they hire to help provide child care. I feel many families treat their child care providers a bit indifferent. I wish that tests for compatibility were an option and that families would also be background checked to make sure they are safe too!

Care.com has been a great help to me. I became unemployed in 2020 and then started looking for work in my area of expertise: house cleaning. And this app has been a huge benefit to me. I've found a lot of work here. Thank you, Care.com

There were many choices of helpers in my mother's area and at reasonable pricing. After trying a couple of woman I found a nice lady who not only was helpful in getting rid of clutter in the house but really liked my Mom too. They worked together several times. My mom stopped because she decided to move into a Senior Living situation.
