When you post a job ad, you have to pay for a premium membership to read the responses. That seems fair enough to me - however, when you see a good amount of responses to your ad and sign up, you realise that care.com just sends them automatically. So people who may have registered years ago, and haven't been active on the site, are shown as having replied to your ad.

i’ve been a member on the site since 2016. this summer i had a new family refuse to pay me after babysitting for 3 hours & care.com didn’t have my back at all!! also countless times people who i politely decline to work for leave me bad reviews **without ever meeting me** you should not be able to review a sitter you don’t even know the last name or phone # of shame on you Care.com … also if this has sunken your rating it just shows you trusted your gut & dodged a bullet of a crazy client!!

Jeg var så dum at melde mig ind i care, for at finde en rengørings dame og mdr efter meldte jeg mig ud, men glemte at tjekke min konto, har betalt 3 mdr og meldte Mig ud igen og troede alt var ok, nu har de så taget penge igen i går, og de har for øvrigt ingen rengøring damer overhovedet så jeg har måtte betale 299 i 4 mdr for ingen ting

Lamentable et scandaleux. Impossible de résilier l'abonnement de manière autonome. Je suis donc obligée de passer par des mails etc. J'ai envoyé un mail la veille de la fin de mon abonnement (pensant que je pourrais facilement le résilier de manière autonome) et malgré que les délais étaient respectés ils m'ont débité de mon compte et après plusieurs mails de réclamation, ils ne m'ont jamais remboursée.

Bad business! Do not sign up with them. They steal money and claim you signed up for a premium membership when you did not. Even if you send one message to someone you get put into a premium membership, and automatically charged. They will auto renew your membership without asking. Poor customer service. When asked for my money back they said NO. And denied me to speak to a supervisor. It also took 1hr to talk to someone who knows nothing and asked me 5 time how to spell Robyn. Ugh

I subscribed for three months to find a babysitter and/or a tutor for my kids in the Seattle are. I put up 2 ads/jobs. $160 and lots of emails and exchanges later I'm still without either. People applied, expressed interest and then totally flaked. People responded to my ad and then asked for 3 times more money than I advertised. One time I introduced and entrusted my kids to someone from the site who then never returned, having pocketed the money from the first trial day. This was just a huge waste of money AND time for me. Very disappointed.

Would NOT recommend. Not satisfied at all!! Signed up to find a tutor for my daughter. Slim pickings and no responses from anybody. Then super hard to cancel the reoccurring payment. No live person for customer support.
