Looking for caretaker for my 84 year old dad with dementia and diabetic. He lives with me and I work full time . We just took him out of assisted living . My first Taker (there is no care with this company ) after a month here alone with dad I find out she is a convicted felon with bank robbery charges and still wanted in some states. The other Taker, 13 years ago was cooking cocaine and distributed to east and west coast . The third Taker never bothered to show up even after she texted me the night before and told me she be here early and I could go ahead and leave for work . I got home at 6 that evening and she had not shown up all day . Dad takes 5 insulin shots plus medication. He got nothing that day. At what point does care.com NOT THINK IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THESE PEOPLE OUT TO SOME DEGREE???. After reading these reviews now I know I’m gonna get charged forever with their money racket. It should carry some kind of criminal charge ! You

THIS IS A SCAM! I got calls every single day before signing up with care and now that my account has been charged over $1000 with no explanation because nobody is anywhere to be found . The number for care has no options to speak with anyone it will send you to an automated message and hang up. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!

I should have trusted the other reviews. Care.com precharged me $130+ for a sitter. On eve of sitter showing up she told me "oops had wrong day... can't do it". Contacted Care.com immediately and explained we were going to be out $800 from a fundraiser we couldn't attend. They made no effort to find a replacement and THEY WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY as they already paid the sitter who didn't show. Next step is small claims court. And we missed the fundraiser toboot. It's telling that a phone number is no where to be found on their website. Stay away.

Didn’t finish my profile, because I didn’t want the website anymore even tho I didn’t go through it still took my money, I couldn’t even cancel the payments! you can’t even contact them! This website sucks!!!!Give me my money back

This company is predatory and do not use it their platform. They have designed the platform to trap caregivers and parents alike when they are time-poor and desperate taking complete advantage of the childcare crisis. You would think that a site that deals with children would be integral but instead they know their demographic is juggling alot so they your CC information, create agreements with extremely fine print, and make it extremely difficult to cancel. I tried cancelling 2x and thought it went through but no -- there was another hidden button I needed to click to confirm. I cannot emphasize this enough - do not use this website.

Horrible horrible company! Zero accountability! I have had the same issue as everyone else on here. I got a customer service phone number from my credit card company. Impossible to find it otherwise. Supervisor never called me. They sent me an email with a final decision that they will not refund me for even this year. I haven’t used this in 4 years and they have been auto renewing it. No way to email them back with a response. Scam company. I hope they go under! So many better companies out there don’t let them take your money!

If I could give them a zero I would. This company is a scam. Just look at all the reviews saying the same thing. I didn't even use the site after seeing the rates we could not afford. I called after 1 week and they would not refund. We are a family with a parent who has a terminal illness and was desperately looking for help while in financial straits. I thought I would try bc I was desperate and this is what happened. They not only refused, they didn't even mentioned that they had put me on auto renew. They use the excuse that you should have seen it in the sign up when it was not at all obvious. Shame on you!!!
