This company has customer service that is a responsive as Road Kill. I have tried repeated to reach them via email re log in problems. I've requested password resets multiple times and get no response. Their rating on this site is well earned. Absolutely dreadful and unresponsive customer service.

Wish 0 stars was an option. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. In haste to book a service from a different company (recommended by a friend) I was somehow automatically redirected to Care.com while I was putting in my information. So I accidentally signed up/entered my credit card information for Care.com. After realizing what I'd done, I attempted to reach out to Care's customer service. Turns out you don't get any customer service unless you sign up for a premium account ($155). I tried calling the phone number and it was an automated recording saying I had to upgrade my account and then just said "goodbye." After trying multiple times, I eventually just upgraded my account so I could speak to a human, assuming I'd be able to get refunded once they realized I had made a mistake and just needed to explain it to someone. NOPE. All I got was "based on terms and conditions" during several email correspondences (when I could even get them to reply). My issue was finally "escalated," and the supervisor said that they are a technology company and could not refund me (???). Why would you trust the care of your children with a company who claims to mostly just be a technology company??!? I think they got sick of hearing from me and granted me a "one-time" exception and refunded me $117. Normally I check review sites before committing to anything, but since since I was automatically redirected while signing up for SitterTree (highly recommend by the way!), I didn't have the opportunity. Clearly I am not the only one with a negative experience. This is truly a garbage company - if I picked up a feral opossum and kept it as a pet, I still wouldn't use Care.com to take care of it. I rarely write negative reviews of companies because things happen, we are human, no one is perfect, but this whole experience was just unbelievable.

I think this company is not a legitimate company,they are uncontactable.They have no interaction once they have taken a payment.I registered with them naively,with all my personal experience.Had not one genuine message from an actual prospective employer.Yet "Care.com send many messages urging me to make contact with employers,who I don't believe they have.There is something decidedly dodgy about them.They have taken a second payment from my bank for doing nothing.

Absolutely horrible experience, their apps are super buggy, so I couldn't even reach out to the nanny that was provided to me by the back up care service. I was never notified when my nanny cancelled because she was unwell. I received a text from her, and thats the only reasoin why I knew she wouldn't be able to come. I've been calling their customer support and nobody has answered. You have to call in order to get reimbursed, there's no other way to get help, and it was the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a service. Never using this service again.

Horrible company who is only about money. I booked a sitter and she cancelled. So I created another job post. The sitter that was interested wasn’t available for the time that I needed so I went ahead and canceled that job (I never booked anyone). The next day I see a charge on my account for that sitter. I never received an email from Care.com that I even booked someone because I didn’t. When I contacted them, they said I needed to ask the sitter for my money. She won’t send it back and they keep saying I booked the sitter and is going as far to say that I never cancelled the job post. I have the email that says otherwise. Even if I didn’t cancel, I never booked a sitter. I have proof but they keep gaslighting me even though I have the evidence to back everything up. They keep saying it’s my fault and refuse to listen. Customer service was passive aggressive and rude. I will not be using this service any more. I had one really good sitter and unfortunately with schedules it didn’t work out. The company could just take responsibility for a flawed system and refund people’s money. That’s customer service. Instead they take the unprofessional route, having you beg the sitter for the money and suggested that if they refused to write them a bad review. So disgusting.

I signed for a one month subscription and was offered a discount to join now. My card was charged the full amount and continued to be charge for two additional months without notice. I contact Care.com the day after my third charge by chat because you can’t speak to anyone and was told I had paid for the month and could not get refund for cancelling now? I only used the service for a couple of weeks without any success. I would have continued to charged if I hadn’t noticed the charges on my card.

Care.com - I signed up for a mths subs which I found no one suitable and still had to pay up front then I was never asked to opt out therefore have been charged SIX MTHS worth of subs!! this is crazy. I requested a refund and I was declined due to the T&C which breach all kinds of customer experience and legal boundaries! thi sis not the first time this has happened either. Care.com you are alienating potential customers and your T&C should state an OPT IN option must be selected for auto renews. There is also no complaints process. When on the chat option I asked for a complaints policy and was refused.
