I really don’t understand why it is not possible to have someone from their customer service help when there’s a problem. There obviously is not a live person that deals with issues. My problem is very simple to resolve but I can’t get anyone to answer the phone or even respond to an email that I sent. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I joined annually but no where in the description does it say that I would be billed for the entire year and on top of it charged $180 for background check without stating that prior to charging my card. When I called customer service they said they can't refund my money for just looking, ridiculously dishonest way to do business. They said they would cancel 1 year from now on 1/5/25. I'm disputing the charge on my credit card and reporting to attorney general's office. After talking with Customer Service I was told they don't give REFUNDS.

Signed up for 1 month and was charged for 1 year. I have been trying to contact customer service for a week with absolutely no response. Shady business practices, no way to reach them to discuss service, and all this from a company that is asking you to trust them with your children.... Not sure what kind of business model this is, but it's troubling to say the least.

TOTAL SCAM. Do not use. They will make it seem like you're paying for a 30 day use period and then auto charge your Visa for AS LONG AS THEY CAN and then they will not refund you. Furthermore, I am quite certain their nannies and babysitters are not real. I have not ONCE been able to find care services either babysitting or nanny. DO NOT USE.

Care.com has a completely predatory billing system. I signed up with them and unwittingly paid for 12 months of services I did not use. Companies with similar subscription models often will rebate unused time, when they can see a profile is not used or an ad is not placed. Instead I got a totally uncaring email from care.com saying we say we are a subscription too bad so sad. You simply don't care, and your customer service response is disappointing. $600 down the drain.

Don't sign up! I have missed meeting after meeting due to trying this. On top of that, there is a no refund policy. They charged me over $100 and provided zero service to me. They are a rip off. I did reach out to care.com, they essentially told me to screw off, that even though I had reached out for a refund that they would never be issuing a refund.

This is a scam. I was never able to find decent care through care.com for either one off or long term care. To top it all off and more importantly, the subscription auto-renews which is not made clear when subscribing. It's impossible to cancel your premium subscription alone. You have to reach out to customer service. Took me two payments to realize I was still being charged. When I reached out to customer service to ask for a refund, they refused!! Reading all the reviews and Care.com's responses, this is clearly a common issue which shows how unclear the auto-renewal is upon subscribing. It's also something they are aware of seeing that they aknowledged so many reviews. Yet, they are not changing their practices. They hide behind their terms and conditions. I simply don't understand why a legitimate business would continue to knowingly take money from people who are unaware and refuse to redund them. Too lucrative I guess. Appalling. I call this theft and fraud.
