Not sure about other locations but do not go to the Hillsdale location for sure. Cannot comment on the doctors or nurses because we did not reach them because of the ineffectiveness of their appointment system and the receptionist who kept us waiting for 90 mins without a sign of understanding how to navigate appointments. If you have an injury go elsewhere.

If You're a snowbird from Canada don't go to Carbon Health
We are snowbirds from Canada and winter in Palm Desert, California.
I went to Carbon Health in March 2026 when I had a wrist that needed to have an x-ray and a blood test for gout. The bill was $295 USD
After we returned home, I submitted the bill to our insurance company and they needed Doctors note. Since March I have spoken to the Carbon Health front desk to get that information in Palm Desert several times. They told me last week that they could email it to me, but never received it. I called again today and left a message. I received a call tonight and they said that was wrong they couldn't email but had to fax it. Who uses a Fax theses days. So she said you can use the App - but once you return to Canada, the App doesn't work. In my opinion IF YOU'RE A CANADIAN AND NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR DONT GO TO CARBON HEALTH!!!

Billing Error
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Carbon Health Campbell (Bascom Ave) has been extremely disappointing.
Due to an error made in my lab request by the clinic, I ended up paying over $700 for laboratory tests that I should never have been charged for. Mistakes can happen, but what has been far more frustrating is what happened afterward.
I've contacted the clinic multiple times, requested that the issue be corrected, and escalated it to the manager. Despite all of that, I've received little to no response and no meaningful resolution. Being ignored after a company causes a costly billing error is simply unacceptable.
Customer service isn't just about providing care—it's about taking responsibility when something goes wrong. I hope Carbon Health improves both its billing processes and its escalation process so that other patients don't have to spend weeks chasing a fix for a mistake they didn't make.
At this point, I'm still waiting for someone with the authority to resolve this issue.

Refused to help 1 year old In pain
I brought my 1½-year-old daughter here after she suffered a painful burn on her foot. She was screaming and crying harder than I have ever seen in her life. As a father, I was extremely distressed and just trying to get help for my child.
The experience at the front desk was shocking.
The first thing I was asked was how I would be paying. I provided my Medi-Cal information and was told they don’t take it. That part alone is understandable — not every urgent care accepts every insurance plan. The problem was the attitude and complete lack of compassion shown afterward.
There was only one person in the lobby, and even that patient kindly offered me his spot because he could see how much pain my daughter was in. Ironically, a stranger in the waiting room showed more empathy than the staff.
When I asked approximately how long the wait would be, I was vaguely told 45 minutes to an hour, but nobody would clearly explain the situation or whether my child could be evaluated sooner. I showed the front desk worker a photo of the burn and asked what I should do. She refused to help and said, “I don’t care, I just work here.”
I was honestly stunned.
At that point, I was willing to wait and willing to pay out of pocket if necessary. But after the coldness, eye-rolling, dismissive attitude, and complete lack of compassion toward a screaming toddler, I no longer felt comfortable trusting my child’s care to this facility.
I understand urgent cares get busy and staff deal with difficult situations every day. But basic humanity, empathy, and professionalism should still matter — especially when dealing with a small child in severe pain.
I served in the military and care deeply about this community. This experience was one of the most dehumanizing medical interactions I have ever had.
Parents deserve to know how they may be treated here.

Terrible patient care
Upon entering the Carbon health facility in Ocean New Jersey, there was no one in the waiting room.
The counter person appeared to be speaking with her boyfriend, but when I came in, she acknowledged me.
I sat waiting for 40 minutes and there was not one person that entered nor exited the patient care section.
After the first 25 minutes, I asked why there was such a long wait to see a doctor/ PA when there were no patients coming or going. Another person who had started working the front desk said we are on our lunch break.
I inquired whether or not there are more than one PA or doctor and the person just shrugged their shoulders and dismissed me.
Upon being brought into an examination room, I asked again why is there such a long wait when no one is coming or going, again the attendant said we’re on our lunch break. I asked why if you are effectively closed for an hour for lunch in the middle of the day (and not seeing patients) don’t you post that information. .
The nurse/attendant took offense andsaid if it’s a real issue, you should go to the hospital. This is for emergency situations.
With this level of inconsideration and mistreatment of patients , I walked out.
I’m not sure if it is carbon health policy to not provide any healthcare services during their lunch break (which is extensive), but if it is then it’s really poor client care.
Apparently carbon health is going into bankruptcy.
Do yourself a favor and never patronize a carbon health facility again.
They are not reliable and they do not treat their client patients with respect, if I could give less than one star rating I would.
They clearly do not understand what it means to offer adequate or minimal patient care.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, will never ever go to this carbon health in Novato again from the moment I stepped in the door when the receptionist told me by the way there’s more than an hour wait, to the fact that nothing I was told on the phone was correct, after waiting almost an hour and finally asking the young lady don’t you need to see my insurance paperwork and asking when I would be seen the owner comes out and says everything I was told was incorrect. They don’t take that kind of insurance and or I don’t know. It just seemed like a bunch of excuses, if someone tells you have to wait more than an hour, I wish they would have the decency to call the patient and ask if we need to reschedule, especially some of us that are coming from very far and have other appointments not to mention incorrect information about the test that I needed the insurance that I had, it seems their only goal is to try and make money off of you, and I believe the owner is very prejudice against people who may not be of the same religious background as him, horrible experience will not recommend them for anything
