First time user experience
For anyone using this for the first time, I need to break a few things down because it’s not really apparent from the website on purpose. THIS IS NOT TELEMEDICINE!!! What it is is a medical consultation platform. What does that mean you say? Well it means that you submit pictures of your condition. They have a list of things they can see you for. My experience was for pink eye. I thought to myself “man how cool is this!” It was cheaper than a copay for an in person doctor so this is super cool! I submitted a consultation request for 40$ and THE MEDICAL NOTE IS AN ADDITIONAL 20$ So I thought that was weird and continued on. I received my treatment plan. They asked how long I would like to be excused for. So I tell them from the 22nd-29th because it’s a viral infection (antibiotic drops haven’t relieved my symptoms from days prior) My previous work experience was as an Opthalmalic technician so I’ve worked in eyecare for over 8 years now. So me using this platform was just to get a written note from a doctor for the absence. Then you get to the part of the doctors note, my goodness what a dreaded experience this was. First they told me that they can only sign off on 3 days, but additional days could be approved with a medical provider review. So I iterated what days I wanted. 22-29th they said they could only do three days again. But with provider review they could possibly do more I had to go back and forth for a full day and a half just to get a doctors note. I was forced to return to work with an infectious disease because of how untimely this issue was. Literally everytime I got a new message about this issue, it was from someone else telling something completely different. So I was frustrated and explained that I find this insanely frustrating and at the end of it they only gave me 3 days for a viral infection. This was my first and last experience with this platform and I hope people stay away from it. It was exhausting and not that very useful for what you wanted it for.

Hello Daniel, My name is Kaye, one of the support staff at CallOnDoc. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for providing detailed feedback about your first visit. We understand how important clarity and timely communication are, especially when seeking care and work documentation. Our platform allows licensed medical providers to review submitted information and determine appropriate treatment plans and supporting documentation based on their clinical judgment and established guidelines. In your case, the medical provider reviewed your consultation and issued an excuse note covering the dates they were able to medically support. While additional days may be requested, all determinations are ultimately made by the provider after review. We appreciate you sharing your perspective, as feedback like yours helps us continue evaluating how information is presented and how we can improve the overall patient experience moving forward. We’ve reached out to you privately to offer further assistance. If you’d like to continue the conversation, please feel free to contact us through the patient portal (My Account > My Profile > Messages) so we can assist you directly. Thank you again for your feedback.
