This truly was a life saver. I'm an RN. I have been very tired and happened to have off from work. So I have been sleeping in. However, I was tired all day to the point of taking a nap in the afternoon. Just exhausted. I woke up from a nap the other day with my head spinning and having to vomit. I couldn't put my head down on my pillow because it would start spinning and then causing vomiting. This went on for about an hour. As an RN I knew this was likely an inner ear infection. I had a headache, no chest pain, no abdominal pain, temp normal, blood pressure slightly elevated, SPo2 97%. I fell asleep with my head propped up on two pillows and when I woke up at 2am the nausea and spinning stopped. I knew it was inner ear due to the dizziness at onset and sinus pressure. I found call on doc on line and to my surprise I could get Augmentin antibiotic for sinus/ear infection. I know the medication a class of penicillin is effective for sinusitis. I honestly thought it might be a scam. I was in no condition to drive to my doctor. I gave it a try. I was notified in the a.m. that my prescription was ready. I was so happy because it would not have been the case if I had to call my doctor who would not be open, send me to urgent care, and my Rx would not have been available until 5pm if I were lucky. Not to mention the cost! I am due for my annual which I will make an appointment for on Monday. I felt better in a couple of hours. This was a lifesaver for me and I am very thankful for this Callondoc on line service. More than you can imagine. I could feel my energy and appetite coming back within hours. I knew immediately it was absolutely a bacterial infection that was ramping up slowly for which I was so debilitated. I was probably headed for sepsis and didn't realize how bad my lethargy was since I was off from work and able to sleep. The Augmentin starting killing the bacteria and bacterial growth enabling me to start feeling better quickly. I always responded well to penicillin of which is the drug class. You must know your allergies before taking any medication. The on line assessment was thorough and you must know your allergies. Thank you so very much for this online service. Truly a miracle for me.
