When I purchased the new call blocker I thought I would not have to block the calls myself but yes you do.

Apologies for any confusion, however, when you first connect the call blocker it will only automatically block numbers that are on the pre-programmed list, any numbers that are not on this list will be allowed through, and you would have to add them to the block list yourself to make sure they are blocked in the future.
