Still contains milk protein, 3 different gums! …And “natural flavor?” Hmm. Marketing seems a little far fetched. Tasty though.

Hey Eden, You can check out our website for all details regarding our production process here, https://californiaperformance.co/pages/process In short, we taught microflora via bioengineering how to produce real dairy whey protein. The result is a revolutionary step in the protein industry. Our whey protein comes from plants and is a real dairy whey which is lactose free and has zero animal involvement. It might sound confusing because it's never been done before, but it's a vegan friendly whey since no animals are involved in the process. However, if you do have a medical background regarding milk allergies then this product is not for you. But if the issue is lactose intolerance then our product is safe for you to consume. I hope that helps to answer your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to us @ [email protected] Thank you, Tom California Performance Co. Team

Because of soy allergy I haven’t been able to use most protein supplements but I’m loving the chocolate brownie v-whey. I have a coffee brownie shake most mornings!

taste is good, texture is amazing, but it hits the gut like dairy (since it's biologically identical to dairy). massive GI issues for days means this isn't for me, but I appreciate that it exists for others. back to gritty pea protein for me since at least it doesn't screw up my guts.

Product contains stevia, ick. Also the labeling is super confusing, it says contains milk but also says it's vegan... Will not buy again.
Response from California Performance Co.Aug 15, 2022
Thanks for the feedback. We are consistently working on our formulations and appreciate your feedback about Stevia. The product is vegan as it does not use any animal ingredients. We are producing real whey protein with the help of our microflora which you can read more about on our blog as well: https://blog.californiaperformance.co/2021/12/03/teaching-our-microflora/ Thank you, Tom California Performance Co. This protein is amazing! Taste great and so smooth, better than animal whey!

This is the only whey protein powder I've had that I can digest without some form of discomfort. No need to search for an expensive, ultra-filtered, grass-fed whey powder. The flavor tastes just like a flavored whey without the milk aftertaste which I was never a fan of. The price for the quality as well. The only downside is that there is no large bag or bulk purchase option. I'm sure in the future that will become available but we need to make this a popular product in order to do so!
