Order never shipped, customer service leaves much to be desired.
I ordered 4 bags of protein and California Performance added a free sample pouch to my order. When the package arrived, it only contained the sample pouch. However, the entire order was marked as "delivered" on my order details page. I had to reach out to their customer service for them to tell me that there was a glitch in their system that cause my order to partially ship. In addition, one of the items I ordered was no longer in stock because so much time had passed. They promised to send the in stock items and provide tracking information, but I have not received that yet. I can't help but feel like they would not have noticed their mistake had I not reached out. They did not even apologize for the error.

Flavors are a bust. Ethos of company is stellar. Would retry flavors if reformulated!!
Love the idea of vegan protein. Very innovative and ethical!!! The vanilla flavored protein tasted "synthetic." I was expecting a creaminess to it or maybe more of a vanilla bean taste. Mixed berry flavor quality was like an off-brand strawberry sugar candy. Overall, flavors can be improved. If they were to be reformulated, I would try again simply because of the ethos of this company!! Thank you for reading.

Tbh…
Tbh, nit my fave. The flavor profile was sweet. I’d liken it to cake batter. But not sugar sweet. Artificial flavor sweet. And it made me feel nauseous after I finished it. I got 6 samples, the one was plenty. Also I realized whey is whey, wether it’s lab grown or cow grown. So I should’ve anticipated the tummy upset, but I was hopeful.

The product you’re advertising as vegan…
The product you’re advertising as vegan isn’t actually vegan. It’s called “vegan whey”, but it’s not Vegan if it has milk in it. Straight up dairy milk in a supposedly vegan protein powder.
Response from California Performance Co.Jan 5, 2023
Hello Tyron, Thank you taking the time to leave us a review. The non-animal whey protein in our animal-free dairy products is made by our partner Perfect Day. Perfect Day is able to create whey protein with zero animal involvement through a process called precision fermentation, similar to the process of brewing beer or making kombucha. You can learn more about this cool process here: https://californiaperformance.co/pages/process As note, our animal-free V-Whey is not suitable for those with dairy or whey allergies. It is, however, lactose-free and suitable for those who avoid animal products for ethical or environmental reasons. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to our customer service team at [email protected] Thanks again. -Valentina at California Performance Co.

Needs to be double wall insulated
Tumbler started profusely sweating as soon as I added ice. Unusable because its cannot be set down anywhere, especially on gym equipment without dripping water. Tried to return but never received a response from company.

Appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you, Tom California Performance Co. Team
