Terrible experience. Went in to get an estimate done for repairs needed after a tire hit my car on the freeway. Insurance company suggested them as a preferred provider. Caliber refused to write up the estimate to include all damage done by the accident saying they weren’t there when it happened so they were unsure if it was part of the damage. Provided before and after pictures proving the damage was done by accident. Their response “ma’am, we represent the insurance company, not you. We have to write up the estimates to pay out as little as possible and still get it fixed according to what we see as reasonable”.
They wrote up the estimate for $350. Took it to 4 other body shops, all of whom had an estimate of over $3000.
If you want a bodyshop who works for an insurance company rather than for you, go here. If you want a body shop who will repair damage the right way, go elsewhere.

I recently took my car to caliber…
I recently took my car to caliber collison at Madison east. I had some repair work- I collided with a pot hole.
I was “helped” by Dan. I asked Dan very direct questions he would avoid any questions I asked. While my car was there I asked for photos of the pothole damage, he said he would send them. I waited called the next day told Dan I didn’t get them. He said he would send the photos again via email They never came so I marched into the office. (I now know Dan never did send them he was lying—-there is a trend with him)
Dan then showed me photos when I was looking over the estimate I noticed he didn’t add in a tire that Toyota said was buldging I also had photos of it. (His bad he sAid) oops I’ll put that in.
While getting my car repaired for the pothole damage I asked Dan if I could have a hail estimate as my car was pounded by golf balls Dan kept telling me the hail damage wasn’t that bad (which I knew was untrue as golf balls pounded My car for over 15 mins)
Dan told me to call my insurance company and have them send over the claim number. I called my insurance they told me that this wasn’t standard and for estimates to give out claim numbers. Dan reassured me it was. I called got the claim number.
I called and the front desk kept calling it an “assignment” wait a minute I’m not authorizing you to work on my car I’m
Wanting an estimate. I WAS ALREADY SPENDING MONEY ON ANOTHER REPAIR.
I called and confronted dan and told him estimate only. He rambled on about his new baby maternity leave. I told him I’m asking you for an estimate only please change it. I get it things can be stressful with a new baby. However I found a trend of dan intentionally not listening and denying and lying.
I called the next day remind him
It is an estimate and estimate only. Then the following day he continues to have it set up as an assignment according to the front desk.
I call again still an assignment I had to start screaming and tell them if they were gonna pull this crap to stop working on my car all together for the pothole damage.
I then talked to Steve dan never changed my car to an estimate he continued to keep it set up as an assignment while he left on maternity leave after reassuring me several times I would get an estimate.
DAN DIDNT GIVE A hoot WHAT I WANTED HE FROM DAY ONE DIDNT WANT TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE ON EITHER JOB WHICH BY LAW HE HAS TO! He’s extremely shady he kept telling me he would
Contact his manager come to find out he is the manager.
When I told Steve if you don’t stop the hail assignment and give me my estimate for hail damage then I don’t want you working on my car at all. Steve did stop the hail assignment and then I allowed them to finish the pothole damage.
Steve was great gave me the estimate and was very personable he made up for what a horrible liar Dan was.
I still wanted to get the hail damage repair done at caliber but wanted to make sure insurance wouldn’t stick me with any bill (that has happened before with insurance).
Dan told me he would submit it to insurance he didn’t I called again he said he would again then didn’t I later got a text saying I can send it over as an assignment oh dan just stop!
I believe dan looks for customers he thinks he can try to basically push work through. He thinks customers have no rights knowing what is being repaired and doesn’t want an estimate in a customers hands!
UNLESS YOUR SURE YOUR USING CALIBER DO NOT GIVE OUT A CLAIM NUMBER DAN DOESNT Want to deal with questions or giving estimates he wants a quick buck and is surly getting kick backs!
It’s the law you have to give an estimate!

Never ever ever ever take any car here
Never rake your car here. Had bad hail damage on the roof, multiple dings and cracks in the paint down to bare metal. They popped out the dings and then sprayed right over the top with no prep. Billed my insurance for almost $6000 and within 2 months the entire top of the car was peeling paint and rust. I could have done the same quality work with a hair dryer and two cans of spray paint. Pathetic. Had to choose at least one star for rating but in reality they deserve about -30

Called Caliber collision
Called Caliber collision today, located in Peachtree city Georgia, they refused to give me an estimate to repair my car because there was not a Insurance claim. I wanted to pay for repairs myself.
The women that answered the phone was more rude than helpful. I won't be back

If I could have given them a zero I…
If I could have given them a zero I would. This has been a very bad experience. Caliber Collision on Ashley Phosphate road had my Ford Explorer in their shop for a month. They repaired the driver's side front door. They gave it back to me with the door leaking. I brought it back. They did not fix the problem. The door is still leaking. Codi and Amber are horrible.

Turned in Jan 2022, still in shop Aug2022
Bottom line up front:
Truck turned in for service: Jan 10th 2022
Truck returned: Still held by Caliber today (Aug 16 2022) with no clear return date, and would like accountability.
I am currently a customer working with Caliber Collision in Westminster, MD as of early January 2022 when my truck was hit in an accident. I had paired the claim with GEICO & the inspection/assessment began. I also utilized a car rental in the meantime.
After the inspection, they scheduled parts to come in but gave a false deadline for when they would be in. A few weeks later after calling to get an update, they mentioned that the parts came in but found other parts that were required & had to put up another order. To note, this process of requiring more parts & saying “we don’t know when the parts will be in” lasted for about 3-4 months. Caliber Collision then had to coordinate with my insurance company to request more funds than what was originally anticipated.
About month 5, June 2022, Caliber Collision said they had to take the truck to a neighboring Caliber Collision since they noticed the frame was damaged and required a new frame. They had sent it to Caliber Collision in Havre De Grace, MD with, again, no timeline in sight and false promises for when it’ll get done. Month 6, June 2022, the frame came in & they said it was damaged so they had to reorder another frame.
We are now on month 8, Aug 2022, and the new frame did come in but additional small parts had to be in order, yet again with no end time in sight.
A car rental thus far for about $80/mo would have cost about $20,000 by now out of my own pocket and not covered by insurance.
As a current situation update, we were told last week, 3 Aug 2022, that the truck would be ready yesterday, 10 Aug 2022. It is 16 Aug 2022 and now John from Caliber Collision in Westminster says it won’t be ready until 17th Aug.
I’m only writing this to shed some light on my experiences with Caliber Collision in Westminster, MD. I’ve been having to constantly contact the company for any of these updates throughout the 8 months as well. The false promises and timelines have left me mistrusting the operations and handling of the store and would hopefully get acknowledged within the company so other clients won’t have the same experience as I’m currently having.

Regarding Caliber Collision on loop…
Regarding Caliber Collision on loop road. My car was sent here by my insurance company after someone backed up over the hood, I’ve had nothing but issues since. I picked my car up June 7th. The hood wasn’t aligned when put back on, so I had to take it back, the body fits, the grill, headlights, front fascia was offset (another trip back) the thing that keeps your hood open was never replaced so when I went to open the hood it came crashing back down. They then wanted to bill my insurance again even though their parts come with a lifetime guarantee… The headlight was replaced with a broken one and now it’s taking a month for a new one and it’s still not working. It is now July 28th. I’m taking my family on vacation next week and their saying they might not even get the part in until August 12th. So when I get pulled over for a headlight out who pays that fine? Worst company ever!!! Do not let your Insurance send your vehicle here.

I made a bad choice going with Caliber…
I made a bad choice going with Caliber Collision. The ongoing issues and my time focus communicating with them is approaching four months and there remains now a NEW defect in their workmanship discovered: fallen headliner. I notified Cathedral City, CA manager Douglas Prosise of the new defect and as has been historically how they behave: Crickets! Meaning, no response. Completely ignoring again, their responsibility to perform and complete satisfactory services based on what they were entrusted to do and what they claim they are specialists at. It's frustrating and disappointing when you agree to top dollar charges and in return receive less than marginal repairs, service and customer care. They really don't seem to give a hoot about the poor quality of work they provide. And their business culture lacks a human element of care and concern as well.
