This company operates under various names which is fishy to begin with. Venture resorts...venture rentals....gatlinburg falls resorts...then cabins of the smoky mountains. Read reviews under all with Google, trip advisor, etc. See complaints at Bbb.org. check in is never at 4pm. First cabin had black mold and they are still renting it out. Demanded to be moved and after way too much arguing finally moved to another city. Lost entire first day bc of this. Second cabin an employee broke in and stole from us. We left early bc we didn't feel safe. They refuse to give refund although they had previously promised first night back....not seen yet. We have contacted many officials to have this place investigated. We are talking to an attorney. Please read reviews under all names to make sure you book with someone else.....one review from 4 months ago stated an employee snuck in their 16 year old daughter room in the middle of the night. They woke up to screams. This place needs to be shut down. They are known for not cleaning cabins and they don't care about you! Reviews state they ignore maintenance calls for things like no heat or air!!! COME ON!!!!

Absolutely horrible. Bedbugs. Beer bottles. Brush so thick could not walk around to back. Pubic hair in sink, filthy woodwork with hair and dust. Sherts looked to have not been changed. Two broken chairs on porch rails to steps unsecured,we reported to BBB, Gatlinburg board of health, and called the management twice,we rent3d another hotel room and figure if we lost our money, then social media is the best way to tell about this,dont go here! There is no pool anywhere, no neghborhood, and no view.

Love it!!! Can’t wait to go again

Staying at a jail would be preferable than this place.

This is the follow-up to my post from 6/12/18: Ms. Alexandra Barrett was a guest at Cabins of the Smoky Mountains on May 20 to May 25.   While it is regrettable to hear Mrs. Barrett's stay was less than perfect, we did come to the desired resolution that was based on the requests of the guest.    Reviewing Ms. Barrett's reservation, we proactively and as a courtesy left a message the day prior to her arrival informing her that our maintenance department was making repairs to the HVAC unit. Mrs. Barrett called us the following day, her day of arrival, and asked to be moved to a new cabin for this reason. After speaking with maintenance we were made aware the issue had been taken care of and the HVAC was in complete working order and there was no need for a move.   Ms. Barrett informed us she did not want to have any issues at all and was not interested in staying in the property though the problem had already been remedied before she arrived. Since all of our properties are individually owned homes, only under rare instances can we move guests on such short notice. However, we did make an exception and move Ms. Barrett to a new much larger property. At the time of the move, we advised Ms. Barrett since we are moving her to an upgraded property when there were no current issues at her original property that this would be her compensation and we would not be refunding any monies back. The original cabin that Ms. Barrett was in was $950 of nightly charges the cabin we moved her to was $1775.00 in nightly rates. Which as you can see was a tremendous upgrade.   We at Cabins of the Smoky Mountains feel we have gone above and beyond for our guest as all issues that could be rectified were taken care of prior to her arrival to the property and the guest chose to be moved to a new property though the issues had already been remedied.  Here is my response/refusal posted on 6/13/18: (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The response Cabins of the Smoky Mountains gave was a blatant lie. I was specifically told that the original cabin I had booked had NOT been repaired and was not even available for future guests to rent because of the major repairs that were going to have to occur to remedy the cabin's HVAC. If this company considers "upgrading" guests to a cabin of the same size with broken utilities and inadequate kitchen supplies, then there a major problem with this business. It is clear from multiple online reviews that this company has is notorious for similar problems of placing guests in run-down cabins and refusing to repair maintenance problems. Their customer service is dismal, and I will NEVER return to them as a customer. I will continue to leave negative reviews online to warn future guests of this company's fraudulent claims and poor customer service.

We stayed at the Running Bear cabin. There wasn't a clean surface anywhere! It was dirty and needed some serious TLC. We had A/C problems that got fixed after 4 long days of calling and complaining. The cabin has potential but the management company does not.

We have rented from Cabins of the Smokies for the past few years! This year was by far the worse we have rented. There was Chip bags under the couches and Dusty floors, hair ties in the bath tub that I found. Also I found little Red Bugs all over the bedroom, and all around the sinks. I do believe these were bed bugs. I feel the cleanliness of our cabin wasnt acceptable. The drains wouldn't drain in the tub and there was an applesauce from previous renter left under the kitchen table. We had no extra trash bags and we was there for 6 days. I feel that the Service within the past few years has slipped and I will not be renting another cabin next time we will be booking with someone else!!!

As a general comment, the cabin was dirty. The shower curtain had mold and mildew on it. Bathroom tissue was missing in three bathroom. Curtains were missing in ground level bathroom. All bathroom weren’t stocked with towels, bed pillows were on the floor and beer bottles from previous occupant were left on balcony. WiFi was turned off before the end of our stay. Absolutely no level of customer service. This failed to meet the minimum expectations of a luxury cabin. I would not recommend these cabin to anyone especially given the rates charged. Albert L
