We stayed in back to nature cabin. The cabin was run down and unkept. My daughter left her bag and we called the office approximately 2 hours later to see if someone would go look for the bag. I was put on hold for several minutes and then hung up on by someone. I made several attempts to reach someone to go look for bag and was told several different lies. Ultimately the bag was stolen by housekeeping. I will never return to stay at any of their cabins again. It was the worst customer service I have ever seen or experienced. DO NOT STAY AT ANY CABINS AT GATLINBURG FALLS RESORT!!!

Horrible chalet company.
Someone from Southern Living Magazine needs to come and anonymously stay at one of this companies cabins and they would change there mind as this company is anything but number 1. We have stayed with several chalet companies before. This one is the worst. I would never recommend this company to anyone. 👎
To top it off, someone from customer service called bribing me to change my rating to make the company look better.

Extremely Disappointed
Where to start….we were contacted while driving to Gatlinburg that our cabin had a problem and that we would need to stay in a different cabin the first night then need to move to the cabin we booked. Not an easy task when traveling with two small children who need extra “stuff” and take naps not to mention the inconvenience our first day of vacation. We were never contacted by management about when our cabin would be ready and we had to keep checking in with the staff for status updates. Needless to say we were sad to leave the first cabin, Views to Die For, and move to our cabin, Back to Nature. While both cabins were far from “luxury”, but Views to Die For, was better overall in my opinion with a better stocked kitchen for cooking, more privacy and more comfortable beds. Back to Nature is located near the dumpsters and entrance so there is lots of noise and there is no privacy from the deck. The floors were disgusting. The bottoms of our socks were black from the dirty floors. All of the the beds were super uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. The blinds in one of the bedrooms were so warped they could not be opened and let in a lot of light. The home theatre room remotes did not work properly, and the speakers were not configured properly. The pool table pockets were held together with rubber bands. The nicest part of the cabin was the wood on the walls and the solid doors. Needless to say our relaxing long weekend was not relaxing...

Disappointment
Before I rented the cabin I asked to make sure the hot tub worked and they said yes everything is up and running. Whenever we arrived the hot tub was not working so I called and they said they would send someone to come fix it but they never sent anyone and never called. Also the jacuzzi did not work too. Big disappointment because that was the only thing we really wanted and asked them for before renting the cabin. The WiFi did not work either.

I only wish I had read all the negative reviews before renting our cabin. I agree completely that this is the WORST rental agent for Smoky Mountain cabins. We have rented multiple cabins from different agencies in this area over the past 30 years and have never experienced such neglected and filthy properties. Safety issues abound as well. The term "luxury" is a joke! The terms "run-down" "beat-up" and "well-used" are more accurate descriptions. The only thing luxurious is the over-priced rental fee. The pictures are very deceptive and give the appearance of much better maintained cabins than they actually are. The fact that a "service fee" is added to each cabin rental is ludicrous as there is minimal evidence of these cabins being cleaned or maintained between guests. One is left with the impression of a cursory cleaning between guests in order to flip cabins as quickly as possible and make the bucks.
We were rented a cabin (The One) with uncorrectable massive water problems - just trickles and spurts coming out of sink faucets and shower, no hot water, and only intermittently working toilets when the water was available. For long periods of time, we had no water at all. And this was noted the day we arrive. This was obviously a pre-existing condition which they chose to ignore hoping we would just put up with it? The cabin was also dirty with broken lamps, torn lampshades, disgusting scummy molding rusty showers, non-functioning "theater room" TV, lack of batteries in multiple remotes rendering electronic devices inoperable, and saggy well-worn mattresses in need of replacement.
Only because of the water issues, were we offered transfer to a second cabin (Memory Maker) the next day which we obviously accepted. We were told it was an "upgrade" in an obvious attempt to placate very aggravated customers. The Memory Maker was cleaner and did have hot running water. However, there were multiple neglected maintenance issues in this cabin as well.
After inviting our best friends to join us, I was embarrassed by the condition of these properties. The rental agreement identifies a lengthy list of customer responsibilities. I would counter that the property managers should more appropriately focus on a list of standards for themselves to assure clean, well maintained, safe cabins to meet customer expectations,
I sent a lengthy letter to the General Manager requesting a refund of our first night's stay as well as the service fee. I am awaiting a response.

Rundown and dirty.
Rundown and dirty.
To start the disaster off we could not check in at the time we were promised (one hour late). When we arrived to the cabin we could not get into the very steep driveway without bottoming our car out. We were met at the porch by a giant spider web covering the entrance. Upon entering the cabin we were met with dirt, dust and large dead bugs on the floor in several places. The back porch was filthy and with only one broken rocking chair. Don't believe the photos on their web site!

Awfull and would not recommend

Late checkin. Was supposed to be at 4pm and after we called repeatedly we finally got the address around 5pm. To a dirty cabin. Cigarette buts on the outside porch and bottle caps also. Stains on the basement carpet. The cabin is a fixer upper with trim broken throughout. We called the manement out to report a dirty cabin with a broken chair on the front porch. Didn’t get much of a response. They did have someone come out and remove the broken chair. 10:30pm someone else came out to remove the chair. Didn’t announce himself and creeped out the family. Said he would empty trash cans but never did.
When they did remove the trash it looks like they also took away a cargo carrier we had. After questioning the management team we got a “do whatever you need to do” response.
I would question the integrity of this company and would highly recommend avoiding any dealings with them.

Poorly managed, poorly maintained
"Laurel Mountain" cabin.
Advertised as "sleeps 8" was told at check-in it is in fact a 6 person cabin... Got by with the couch.
Not ready at check in time. Waited until 4:45 PM.
Here's how we found it:
Trash all around the cabin, especially the porch. Lots of cigarette butts. Two ash trays- full. Shower was moldy (see pic) . Cabin was unswept (see pic of bugs at top of stairs) . Grill filthy (see pic) . Porch light full of bugs (see pic) . Garbage bags left from previous stay (perhaps to attract wildlife for our viewing)... And the ceiling fans... See pic, that's not frosting from the cold! Filthy!
1.5 rolls of TP, told we were responsible for TP after calling (but they begrudgingly agreed to bring some).
Beds have thin comforters, no extra blankets.
But the best part was our Saturday morning entertainment, a domestic dispute that the neighbors had, an obsenity laced screaming match filled with racist slurs... Classy!
We also didn't like that you aren't given the location until after booking. We were separated from our other cabin of friends by a substantial drive through windy roads... That put a damper on our stay.
Woke up Saturday morning and took a closer look at the bed to find the sheet dirty/moldy! Took it off and found dirt on the mattress protector.
Luckily we had asked for extra linens... But the backup had hair on it and a child's sock fell out of it... Dirty w/more hair on it! I wish I was making this stuff up!
Oh, and the toilet doesn't flush even the smallest piece of TP unless you hold the handle down, so give it a good 5 count!
We were told we would receive a refund which later changed to only 30% and was also informed that if we had checked out the first night we would have received a full refund even though we were told at check-in there were absolutely no refunds.
This place is ridiculous!
