Magalí Fernández is the reason I'm taking the time to write this review. She is worth 6 out of 5 stars for her amazing customer support. Regardless of the experience you may have using bucketlisters, ask for Maglí. Her title should be bumped from `Customer Care Representative` to `Sr. Customer Care Representative`. I had an error with my Booking Process which required additional seniority reporting. My only recommendation to improve the experience is to give Maglí the authority to execute customer requests.

I feel like this place is a scam. We got a group of tickets to see Dwight Yoakam at the OC fair. We got there and the venue box office would not honor the tickets. Almost ruined our evening. Really disappointed

I attended the Taste of DC Academy: BBQ & Bourbon event at the National Union Building (F St, NW, Washington, DC) on Thursday, 27 Aug 2026. This was advertised as a masterclass. Without a doubt, this was the worst event of this type I have ever attended. The so-called whiskey expert barely knew anything about bourbon other than high level things that was probably memorized from a Google search. He could not even answer the simplest questions. For example, how did bourbon get its name. Or the difference between wheated and high rye bourbon. He knew nothing about Bottled in Bond or what it meant. The offering for the tasting was a mass-produced Makers Mark and an Old Overholt Rye, which is not even a bourbon. The BBQ expert was so incompetent he could not even properly hold the microphone so he could be heard by all in the room. He did not know what the flat and point of brisket was. Again, he had a high-level understanding of BBQ and smoking techniques, but nothing like the BBQ/Grill master he claimed to be. The event was so bad, I left after approximately 20 minutes. I just could not handle the misinformation and unprofessionalism. My recommendation is do not waste your time or money on these events. UPDATE: 09/03/2026 Bucketlisters.com got back to me with a canned response asking me to send additional information via buckerlisters support. I did and got another canned response reminding me that there are no refunds. This seems to be all these types of fly-by-night event organizations care about. I was not and am not asking for a refund. I chalk this up to an education. Education costs include my time and money. What I learned here is bucketlisters.com and Taste of DC Academy are organizations to stay away from. I reiterate my recommendation especially novices in the area of BBQ and bourbon. Do NOT spend your time and money on these events. Bucketlisters.com and Taste of DC Academy are preying on the fact you may not know and they can tell you anything. All you will get is misinformation, which will make you look silly if you repeat it to someone who knows BBQ and bourbon.

I want to give a shout-out to Magalí Fernández in the customer care department. I bought tickets for the wrong date for a concert. Weekend of my birthday. I was freaking out thinking I was going to have to change the plans but she was able to help me and change the tickets for the right date. Saved my birthday plans! Would definitely use bucket listers again!

This website has amazing and unique events happening all the time in our area. My friends and family are amazed how many fun things I have found by using bucket listers. It is easy to book online and Customer Service is also super helpful. We are so looking forward to attending the Candyland pop-up restaurant later this month.
