Conversations with the inn personnel and other guests were very informative about Gettysburg. We learned more about the history of the battle as it flowed through the town and how that impacted the Welty House.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Brickhouse Inn for our 5 year anniversary. We stayed in the New York room. Unintentionally booked during biker week so that was a nice surprise. But the room, the staff, and the food were great. Never had shoofly pie before but theirs got us hooked. Went on a couple Ghost tours and the guides were fanominal. We had a nice time overall, great experience.

In our opinion since the new ownership, there has been a noticeable decline in the unique charm that attracted us to the Brickhouse to begin with. Though the people are still fantastic that work there it is much more commercialized which we can get anywhere. Couple that with the substantial increase in price and reduction in services provided (breakfast) its a no-brainer to look elsewhere.

William, we're sorry to hear you did not have a 5-star experience--especially knowing that you had left a great rating for us during your stay. It's good to hear that our staff took great care of you, but we would love to know more about your experience in an effort to improve. Please reach out to [email protected] with anything else you'd like to share. We'd love the chance to make this experience up to you.
