I opened a Brex cash account in February 2022. I decided to start using my account in March 2022. I took out a business loan of $35,000 from my cousin which I had her send to my Brex cash account. My account was blocked as soon as the money was credit to my Brex account. It’s been over a month now since my Brex account has been blocked and Brex won’t allow me redraw my money or return it back to my cousin. This company is ruining people lives. Stay away from them by any means. The most annoying is that the Customer service is of no help they only thing the tell me is that my account is under review. How does Brex take months to review a bank account with only a single transaction history ? The only funds I received was the business loan I had my cousin send to my Brex account. Why is Brex still keeping my money? Why is Brex not returning the money back to the sense? This company will ruin your business. Stay away from them

Absolutely a horrible company they have never given us any support on their system if you’re a small company stay away from the scam I do believe in time they will be exposed. We run a small construction company and we got duped into using the brix System I encourage all small companies to stay away

A friend's business is collapsing, you locked his account and gave him no updates about what went on. All you could say is his account poses a high risk to Brex. No vital reasons why it got closed. It started on 6th December and you asked him to wait for 120 days. After the days got due which felt on the 6th of April. You didn’t open the portal for him to withdraw his funds. Just look at how PayPal and the rest of the companies work. After due dates they give you options, he asked you and you guys decided that he can’t withdraw. You later sent an email saying that the money is getting returned to the original financial institution. He asked which of the transfer is getting returned and you said he should reach out to the other financial institutions to find out. You have to be able to tell him when the money is being returned. There should be proof of funds being returned so he can also have that down as proof of funds between him and the originator who sent the money. The money is still showing in his account and secondly, I don’t see any indication showing that the money is being Returned. So why all these lies. There should be some Vital reasons. You’re not even giving him any duration about when the other institutions are getting the funds all you can say is he should reach them out which is very bad. As a business bank. Work in a legit way for customers to see the hands work of you guys. Give him the correct reasons. Give him durations and have some proof for him to know that it’s being returned and the other bank should approximately expect it within a period of time.

I was customer for a year plus and suddenly my account was closed by Brex on December 3rd 2021 with no explanations. I had a balance of $36,660.51 on my Brex account when my account was closed. I was told Brex was going to hold my balance for 120 days before I Will be able to redraw my balance. It’s past 120 days now and Brex is still not allowing me to redraw my balance. I am writing the reviews in hope someone can help me get my balance out as my business is on the verge of collapsing

Scam company, they say your account is approved then first thing they get you to deposit money. After you deposit they say your account is disabled and it is not negotiable.

Update: So they contact me to repeat the same information. They didn't do a "review", they repeated what the bot said with a random support agent name attached to it. This isn't how you win customers. Don't even bother with Brex. It's a scam since they can take your account away from you for no reason and force you to migrate to a different bank because they said so.

Brex informed me they would close my account unless there was activity, so i contacted them for specific instructions which i followed to a "T". I tried to utilize via Quickbooks but the connection wouldn't work. About a week later, i am informed that they are closing the account with no review. Tried to reach support but just a bot. Not small business and startup friendly....run.

I applied to Brex since it is a partner institution of firstbase.io, which I used to open my online business. My application was simply refused. There is no possibility to appeal, and no reason for the refusal was given. My guess is that even if my company is active in the US, they would rather not have clients from Europe. Dont waste your time with Brex, look for a company that doesnt play hard to get.
