The brace worked great for my skier's thumb injury. I did not like it at first because the pain and swelling of the initial injury made the brace difficult to put on, and it does not immobilize your hand entirely, so I still had pain in my thumb. But after a few days the brace was perfect because it stopped my thumb from being pulled in the direction that would cause reinjury, which made it easier for me to use the rest of my hand without worrying about the thumb. I wore it for about 3 weeks after the injury. After that, I would put it on if I was going to be using my hands a lot to protect it from reinjury.

The brace works well and allows you to do most things while wearing. I did find that it takes wearing it a few times before it is comfortable. One part of the brace rubbed against the outside of my palm (pinkie finger side) at the beginning. Now it’s better.
