Beware of the quality of Boston Scally summer weight/lighter weight caps!! I purchased one of the summer weight 6 panel caps, color black from Boston Scally earlier this year and am very disappointed. I work in the trades in the mid-Atlantic area so it gets rather hot in the summer. The cap’s black color is not “color-fast”… it has taken on a reddish-brown stain area from the sweat, even though I rinse it or wash it with a mild detergent after sweating in it all day. I wrote to Boston Scally and their reply was quite disappointing, implying I must have exposed it to some chemical or harsh detergent… they did give me a 20% discount for my “next purchase”… but, that’s not likely🫤. For a company that charges over $50 for every cap, I would have expected more… like a replacement cap! I have purchased several caps from this company so it’s not like I’m a “one-and-done” customer… now I’m simply an ex-customer.

Horrible customer service. Just another company that just has customer service through email. No phone number. When they tell you in the email too bad so sad and you try to email them again, they ignored you. If you are unhappy with their product especially after 30 days you are screwed. You are stuck with paying for something you can’t use. Seems more and more companies are not listing customer service numbers. Good way to cheat people out of their money.

I would not waste your time with this hat they do not take their sizing seriously. The fit of these hats are all over the place there is no standard set. They say to measure your head and take these numbers to order your hat. Disregard this because it doesn’t matter what size your head is you will get a hat that doesn’t fit. Just go somewhere else for hats do yourself a favor.

Just bought a cap, but it was the wrong size. Went to the Returns & Exchange Link and it gave an Error message as though the site was not there. Have tried several times with the same results. Sent a message to Customer Service and have not received a response. So I do not trust this company.

ALERT!! you lose money when you buy direct from them. 1. I ordered a hat that the size offered did not match the size offered. 2. They did not have another size available, they give you two options, in both you lose the shipping cost!!! if you want your money back you must pay them a fee!!! or else get a card to shop with them. 3. You always lose money with them, if you accept their card, you lose the delivery fee for the first purchase and pay delivery fee for the second one!!!! DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY FROM THEM!!! this company has outdated eCommerce practices from 20 years ago, when I contacted them they told me that I should read their return policy, hidden in their terrible website, that was my responsibility!!! they only think about winning for them. Their hats are nice and of good quality, if you really want to buy a Scally hat, buy it through a retailer with GOOD eCommerce PRACTICES. BTW through the most well known online retailer in the market I found a hat of the same design, similar quality AT ONLY A FRACTION OF THE PRICE of a Scally, AND WITH FREE RETURN!!!!

All I can say is buyer beware. Hubs ordered 2. Totally excited to get them. Measured according to their measurement guide. Both were way too big. You can't talk to a human to resolve anything quickly. You have to email. Now one of the caps he ordered, isn't available anymore. Here's their refund policy - "For a refund of product, refunds must be processed within 14 days of original purchase date in order to receive the refund amount minus shipping and restocking fee." They can't get the product to you in 14 days, so how in the hell are you supposed to return it in 14 days???? You can only exchange it for a different size, which they no longer have, or take a store credit. We'll do the store credit for replacements, and never buy from them again. So disappointed.

ZERO STARS! I bought a hat that was made defectively -- too much fabric in top layer and was poofy and sticking out. Looked horrible. During their baloney 30 day return period, I initiated a return/exchange, but it didn't get completed during the 30 day period. Now they say too bad, so sad. Crappy company. Check out the 1 star reviews and you will see that you better hope to get lucky and get a hat that is correct and no issues or you are hosed. Better products at better prices available elsewhere.

BEWARE of customer service! I purchased hat, mailed it back for exchange, lost tracking number and they can't find package. Sent a dozen emails with proof of purchase. No luck, soooo no hat, no exchange, no refund. Bad business practice.
