Customer service personnel is very rude and doesn't answer the questions properly. First I was told about some surcharges which the person couldn't explain. Then second person explained the surcharges... The second person brought up the fact that if my income is less than 50K and I'm younger than 30 I cannot use their promotional rates! But she told me I could go to the resort's webpage and reserve my stay there. Thanks for your permission person 2. I asked for a manager because I was questioning how they will be checking my income and other clearances. Well the manager told me same thing that they don't want just anyone using their promotion so I have to qualify first. When I asked again about how they will be checking my income she again said if I dont qualify their deal I can go and get it in another place. This got me really upset and this time I told her she shouldn't be telling me what to do, instead she should be able to just answer my question. The manager hang up the phone.... I think its unacceptable to have this kind of customer service manager and its a big scam not telling people aboht their qualifications on their web page! If I didn't call them I would never know they are such scammers!

Dear Armine,
Thank you for sharing your experience.
We would have loved to accept your business but unfortunately, could not as you did not meet the eligibility requirement set forth by the resort as the resort is sponsoring these special promotional packages which is why you were NEVER charged.
Above all else, providing excellent customer service is our main goal and all of our customer service agents are highly-trained and qualified. As the fastest growing travel company in the world, we sometimes fall short of our goal, however we are constantly looking to improve.
All of our special promotional packages are subsidized up to 77% by the participating resorts, and it is the resort (not BookVIP) who sets forth the eligibility requirements for these promotional packages. I apologize if our representatives did not explain that clearer to you.
The Terms and Conditions governing every vacation package (including age and income) can be found at the bottom of each hotel offering page on BookVIP’s website.
In addition, the Terms and Conditions are reviewed with the customer during every sales call, and must be agreed to in writing by every customer in order to finalize the reservation and have dates sent to the participating resort provider.
BookVIP has more video testimonials from happy customers than any other travel website in the world. Please refer to http://bookvipreviews.com/.

THIS IS A FRAUD
With this travel agency we had the worst experience ever, they put a lot of conditions for you to travel and while you buy they never tell you all of them , they say you have 8 days to cancel but the trick is that they send you the hotel confirmation like a month after and there is when they send you the terms and conditions.
We when in march 2016 to the Sandos Playa car hotel with BookVIP we got there like at 4 pm. My 1 year old baby was tired and hunger and crying because we were up since 3 am flying from Newark Nj.
so we were to make the check in and they asked me for the credit card because we were asked to put 1.500.00 USD to attend the time share presentation >>>> why i don't know if what they do is that if you don't buy the keep your money or why do they need it for .....
so my husband gived the lady his card that was a credit or debit card.
and they didn't accepted because they wanted just a major credit card.
so we said ok can we give the money cash ??? noooo ..... can we give an other persons credit card ??? noooo ... so then receive this card the money is there .....NOOOO .. the last thing for that day after 2 hours at the phone with bookvip they said they will call us early in the morning the next day to see if they were to do any thing fo us. while all this my baby was crying of hunger and tired around 3 hours there at the lobby because no body gived me any solution.or at least a room so the baby can rest while we find any agreement.
so then a guy Carlos from the Hotel talked to us and we asked for a room at least for that night he said yes but you will have to pay for it ..
so we took it and the next day i had to call like around 1 pm to bookvip because no body ever called me from the agency like they said they would so i called Bookvip again to see if they where going to give us any solutions ..
so again i said listen I'm far away with my family we paid 1.500.00 usd for this trip what can we do . the response was ......
if you don't have a mayor credit card you can't stay at the hotel !!!!!!!!
ok so i said BUT I HAVE A DEBIT OR CREDIT ONE, HAVE THE MONEY CASH OR I CAN PUT MY AUNTS CREDIT CARD because she buy the trip for us with her credit card or ok then send us to an other one where i don't have this problem !!!
NOOOOOO .......they said AGAIN !! so what happens with the money i paid already ??
sorry Mrs you lost it for not reading the terms and conditions, check out intermediately .
so i had to take my kids and go out to the street with them in a foreign country trying to find a hotel but i never did because it was the spring brake week so it was all full and sleep at the beech with a baby of 1 year and my older son 13 for 4 nights .. can you imagine .......?????????????????
and there only response where ...YOU LOST YOUR MONEY .
WE ARE NOT HELPING YOU .
BOOKVIP ITS A FRAUD DO NOT BUY ANY THING WITH THEM .

Dear Erica,
We regret that you encountered such a stressful situation, especially since it could have been completely avoided, had you complied with the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to (in writing and by voice-recording) when you booked your vacation.
Indeed, you confirmed on a recorded telephone call that you were aware of the presentation and the sales representative reviewed each portion of the Terms and Conditions with you.
The sales representative advised you of the total price of the package and that we accept MasterCard or Visa. You choose to pay for your package with you Aunt’s credit card (MasterCard) and then clearly told the sales representative that you have your own American Express card but did not want to incur the fee required to book your vacation with an American Express card.
In addition, it is clearly stated (in capital letters), on both your receipt and on the Terms and Conditions that guests without a valid credit card will not be allowed to check in to the resort upon arrival – as well as the resort’s definition of what a major credit card is – “one (1) personalized valid major credit card: VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted (debit cards, check cards, company/corporate cards or Discover cards are NOT accepted). Customer must have at least $1,500 USD available on credit card.”
Furthermore, it is also stated on your confirmation email sent on 1/28/16 2 months prior to your vacation:
IMPORTANT: PLEASE REMEMBER to bring a valid Major Credit Card with a Visa, MasterCard or Amex logo. Check cards, debit cards, Discover Cards and company business credit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo are NOT accepted as a major credit card. Failure to bring a Major Credit card will void the special promotional offer and result in paying full retail price.
Our special promotional packages are sponsored by the resorts and the rooms are discounted up to 77% because the resort is subsidizing the room. The resort sets forth certain eligibility requirements for these packages.
All qualifications, resort fees, taxes, deposits and penalties for any particular property are clearly stated on the Terms and Conditions governing each vacation package, which are located on the bottom of every resort offering page on our website, and are reviewed with the customer during the sales call. The customer must accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions via electronic signature before any reservation is final and the travel dates sent to the resort.
Neither BookVIP nor the resort could have known that you did not have a major credit card as we spell it numerous places and also confirmed verbally on a recorded line. Blaming us for you failing to abide by resort's eligibility requirement's since they are one's subsidizing 70% of this package for meeting them is completely unfair. The resort pust in these terms & conditions otherwise who wouldn't want to save 70% for doing nothing.
We send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site: http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

Rip Off
Booked a room at the Tropicana thru this online site, at the end they give you a number you must call to confirm your reservation. After a dozen questions job title, annual salary, names age etc. They send you a email and then confirm the reservations and then reveal the small print you have to attend a 90 min resort preview. Then you have to call a different number to cancel the reservation to which you leave a message so they can call you back don't fall for that press 1 to change a reservation and someone answers right away. I fell for one of these presentations once, supposed to be 90 min but after 3 hours of sales men tag teaming to sell a timeshare I was furious and they finally stopped when I grabbed a salesman by the shirt and yelled what part of no don't you understand. Ruined the first day of what was supposed to be a anniversary get a way

Hello Mr. Parker,
Thank you for your feedback. We have hundred of thousands of customer's utilize our promotional packages that otherwise would not have been able to afford the vacation of a lifetime. The testimony to this is BOOKVIP.com has more customer video reviews than any travel web site in the world. The Terms and Conditions set forth by the resort governing every promotional package are located at the bottom of each resort offering page and are easy to read and understand.
To ensure our customers understand the Terms and Conditions governing their particular vacation package, the Terms and Conditions are reviewed with the customer during every call on the phone, and must be agreed to in writing by customer in order to finalize the reservation and have dates sent to the participating resort provider.
We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and send over 300,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site.

Scam
The prices are great only if you meet the terms & conditions- They want you to to sign up for timeshare when you reach destination.
In my case i booked westgate Smokey mountain resort on net-i got confirmation that you will receive an email in 15 minutes.
Since no email came in 24 hours i called to recheck if my reservation is in place-after a long hold i was told the reservation was not approved-on checking why, they said the hotel is full-i pointed out that if it is full why is the offer still listed after 24 hours-i was told it takes 3 days for them to update the webpage,
So he suggested another hotel- i accepted it even though the hotel was 3 star ratings whereas the Westgate has 5 star ratings. After accepting the terms and conditions the rep mentioned everything is OK and went ahead and charged my credit card.
but on the next day i again got an email asking them to call on the reservation status. On calling and waiting for a long time i was told the reservation is not confirmed ( after charging credit card and sending confirmation of booking) -No reason was forthcoming-and after pressing for more they informed that since i am working in Sales, I am not eligible ( i guess it is not easy to convince a Sales person to force buy Timeshare). They are on look out for gullible victims
Both times since the reps were not good to answer my queries, i asked for a supervisor and both times they informed that the supervisor is not available.
On asking for refund there was a long gap and line was disconnected-however i got an email on the cancellation -refund will take 5-7 days.
They have one of the worst customer service dept-untrained unprofessional guys somehere outside us- but the rep said they are in Miami-on asking him where in Miami-he said Florida- joke.
I asked address but no answer- as i am an resident of south florida i wanted to check.
How did the get the BBB rating??

Dear Mr. Patil,
Thank for for your valuable feedback. We are the largest provider of promotional promotional packages, however, the individual resorts set forth the eligibility requirement's for the special as they are the one's subsidizing the cost of the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. The qualifications are outlined in the terms & conditions. Unfortunately the resort was unable to accept your your reservation due to one of the qualifications not being met and as a result you are being refund today. For any refund, it generally takes 5 to 7 days to post back to your account depending on your bank, it's not instant. We apologize any inconvenience this may have caused as we are rapidly growing and unfortunately not perfect though your feedback is extremely helpful in how we improve.

Secrete Papagayo Costa Rica
I purchased a package that was offered online by Bookvip. We went to the presentation for 1hr and 20 minutes for questions on the presentation, the second day we stayed there we did not purchase anything from the resort because we were disgusted. we liked just a handful of employees our last day we received a phone call from someone that worked in the sales department Secrete Papagayo he told me we were going to be charged $800.00 extra because they said the Bookvip offer online scams/fraud they notice english was not my first language. The package that I purchaced did not include the offer. The guy called the front desk to kick us out the resort since i refuse to pay outside my package. I suffered discrimination! humiliation! I spoke with him and told him once I return back to florida I will have my attorney speak with them the guy came and apologized. such a bad experience I will never return back..!
If you are looking to book with Secrete Papagayo be very careful you don't suffer the same like how my wife and I suffered.

Dear Mr De Jesus,
Thank you for valuable feedback from your vacation. We are contacting the resort in regards to your issue as we have thousands of customers of that use our promotional packages which are sponsored by the resorts. BookVIP.com is the largest supplier of promotional packages. The reason why the rooms are up to 80% discounted from the retail rate is because the resort is subsidizing the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. Each customer must meet the terms & conditions which is set forth by the resort and we go over with customer. Unfortunately, since the offers are so incredible, in some cases customers try to circumvent the requirements.

RIP OFF
I booked a trip with Book VIP and they clearly state that you have 7 days to cancel for a full refund. I cancelled 3 days later and have called several times. Still have not got my money back. I asked them when I cancelled, when would I receive my refund back to my account. I was told 5 to 7 days. IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS! Now they aren't even returning my calls and I can't seem to get through to a person. I'm out almost $800.

Dear Annette,
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Our amazingly affordable promotional packages are subsidized up to 77% of the retail rate by the participating resort provider. The resort's set forth the eligibility requirements not BookVIP.
To ensure that these rooms are available to the customers for whom they were intended, the participating resort provider sets forth certain eligibility requirements that must be met in order for BookVIP (as the booking company) to be able to offer the package to potential guests.
The Terms and Conditions governing these promotional packages are located on each and every resort offering page on BookVIP’s website. To further ensure that a potential customer is eligible and qualified to participate in the special promotion, the Terms and Conditions are reviewed with the customer during the sales call and the customer must agree to the Terms and Conditions via electronic signature before any reservation is final and the travel dates sent to the resort.

Complete scam!
They show you 4 star reviews of a hotel, but be sure to read the real reviews on Yelp and Google! Yes, 1.5 star reviews, nasty hotel! We cancelled and ate $250. Not worth a crappy vacation to me.
Response from BookvipMar 24, 2016
Dear Steve,
Thank you for your observation.
First and foremost, BookVIP is not a scam. We have hundreds of properties with a wide range of choices and star ratings to fit everyone's vacation budget.
All of our resorts are presented in a comprehensive manner and even include video reviews submitted by other customers while visiting the resort.
If you cancelled your vacation package within the 7-day refund period as stated in the Terms and Conditions governing your promotional package, you would have received a full refund of your $250. Otherwise, your vacation package would be put on an Open-Dated basis, and you would have 12-months from your purchase dates to use your $250 credit towards any BookVIP vacation package for which you are qualified.
We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site: http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.
