Booked with Book VIP in December. They presented me with my options and booked me for a reservation that I was not qualified for. After I had stayed one night and was beyond check out for the second night, I received a call from the resort saying I was not qualified for the discount. I called Book VIP and they were very rude, and unhelpful. Refused to let me speak to a supervisor after I had asked and told me that I was responsible for the entire resort/reservation amount. I was responsible for the entire amount of a stay that they knew I didn't qualify for when I had booked it 3 months earlier. I will NEVER book with Book VIP again!!!!

Owner is horrible.
I saw a post on facebook that looked to good to be true. So i hopped on google to look at reviews. Im have the common sense when dealing with a third party to read terms and conditions so that i am not scammed out of money. But the reason i wouldnt use bookvip is solely because of the responses by the owner James. Every response to a review is a b rated pitch, followed by a rude remark, followed by his email if you want to "contact him directly". The company is fairly new and seems like they dont fully have everything together. Also, i understand certain things are listed in the terms and conditions page, but it needs to be stated during checkout. Anyway, what it comes down to for me personally is i would never give money to a deceiving person like the owner of this company. Also, for anybody that has used this company and has been screwed over, instead of writing a review here, please contact the better business borough!!

Thank you for your feedback Eddie. The fact is as an owner of the company, I am extremely proud the fact we sent over 500,000 families to Mexico last year and we have more actual customer video testimonial reviews than any other travel site in the world - this is undisputable As the fastest growing travel web site in the world with over 3.2 Million Likes I will continue to use this forum for positive and negative feedback as I know our promotional packages have changed lives and created incredible memories I don't know what type of work you are in but I hope you have the same effect on people in your life. And yes you can contact me directly as well and I will gladly speak with you directly. Thank you

Disappointing
my birthday is coming up so me and my fiancé were looking for vacation packages in different websites until BOOKVIP popped up and looked like such a good deal so me and my fiancé picked out a punta Cana package.... we thought about it for a week until we decided to book, we were super exited to be able to celebrate my bday etc so they asked us a couple questions that qualified us until he asked our age, as soon as I told him we are in our middle 20s he said we can't qualify because this DEALS are only for 30 YEARS OLD AND UP. What a bummer now I will have to spend time looking at packages again and maybe spend double money on this trip. I knew it was too good to be true

Hi Stephanie,
Thank you for your email and feedback and I apologize we couldnt accept your business, however, the resort's are sponsoring the special promotional packages NOT BookVIP and the Resort's set forth the eligibility requirements which is why you can save up to 70% off the retail price. I am very proud of the fact, we have sent over 500,000 customers to Mexico/Punta Cana with our promotional packages. All the requirement's are listed on the Terms & Conditions link. the good news is a few years you will be eligible. Blaming us for the resort's requirement's for the promotional rate is like blaming the DMV for not letting you have a drivers license at age 10. However, please reach out to me at [email protected] and Ill see once you are eligible we will make sure taken care of for your birthday

Confirmation is not confirmation with Book vip
I booked a resort in Cancun in Feb 2017 with Book vip, 15 minutes after the reservation I received an email confirmation from Book vip. Then I booked my air flights. One hour later I received an email from Book vip indicating that there was a problem with reservation. I called Book vip and they said the resort was not available for the dates that I booked and there were no other resorts available. Long story short, I lost my airfare due to Book vip error and they did provide any type of compensation for their error. BEWARE of Book VIP
Response from BookvipMar 7, 2017
Hello Michael,
Thank you for email and feedback Please contact me directly so can look into your issue [email protected] as we do state that since each resort is subsiding the promotional package that they need to verify each reservation.

Hi, this company is not really clear, I'm trying for so many times to buy a trip to Mexico for me and my family, first all the people that I read in the reviews in internet talk very bad process of bookvip they said that the company change their dates, prices with hide fees, asking between 120/150 per night that is not in the promo, and so many of them where sender to a inferior hotel a days of the trip, and they can't cancel because the tickets of the airplane etc... so is very unsecure buy there, I'm very sad because my family were very excited, other big deal is that they just are offering offers for 2 adults and 2 children what happens is we have 3 children that is my case, I have children of 6,5 And 2, so we don't have the opportunity for take the trip? So disappointed. The costumer services is horrible doesn't work.

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your email and feedback As of the owner of the company of the fastest growing traveling company we are always looking to improve. I am proud in the fact BookVIP is the largest provider of promotional packages in the world, sending over 500,000 families to Mexico. You can save up to save 70% of the retail rate on the promotional packages because the resort's are subsidizing the cost of the vacation in exchange for meeting their eligibility requirements and attending the resort preview. All of the resort's requirements are listed at the bottom of each special hotel offer with the "Terms & Conditions" link. Once you are confirmed, you are confirmed 100% for your dates at your hotel. The only issues we have had is when customer's have tried to circumvent the resort's eligibility requirements as naturally everyone wants to save up 70%. The biggest issue we deal with is Group Travel which the resorts do not allow.
Also, we do have a one bedroom suite option at the Villa del Palmar Cancun which does hold 2 adults and 3 kids. It is 4 times the size of a normal hotel room and has a separate bedroom and living area for privacy. All your children will be included in the package package cost since your 3rd child is only. Here is the link to the offer http://www.bookvip.com/hotel_details/5-star-cancun-villa-resort?id=1&pid=658&destination_id=1&arrivedate=&from=--&to=--&hp=1&hotel_code=&adults=2&destination_code=&pc=
We also have similar offers in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta for 2 adults and 3 children. Please email [email protected]

Red flags flying every where!!! BEWARE!!!!!
Looks like I just wasted $99 and about an hour of my time. I did not see the terms and conditions when I paid my $99 down for the deal to Grand Sirenis. I did not see any terms and conditions before I booked it, nor did I receive any detail about what I booked. My receipt only stated that I paid $99 for the Grand Sirenis. I called customer service and they refused to send me any detail on the package and he just kept telling me that it is computer generated.
Being suspicious of the customer service rep's response, I went back to the page where I started. If you scroll all the way down the page, on the bottom, in tiny print, there is a link to the terms and conditions where it give you their conditions of what qualifies as a couple, you have to have at least $90,000 a year income, you have to go to a 120 minute sales pitch.
Really? This should all be clearly stated prior to taking our money. Luckily I did not pay for the entire trip.
This is extremely shady business practice to say the least.

You can save up to save 70% of the retail rate on the promotional packages because the resort's are subsidizing the cost of the vacation in exchange for meeting their eligibility requirements and attending the resort preview which is why we state "Resort Preview Rate". Update-Make sure you read the fine print
So I received a reply from the owner of Bookvip but I'm not able to reply to his comments, so I will do it here. Mr Colligan, I'm glad you read your own terms & conditions, it now clearly states and I qoute "
Additional Terms
When traveling to Cabo the participants MUST spend their first night in Mexico at the Villa del Palmar Cabo or this promotion will be voided"
This is not what was posted originally, seems a little sketchy to me.
I also tried calling the number listed on their website 1-888-849-8450 and all I got was:
1. Congratulations you won a free Life Alert
2. Save money on Direct TV
3. Save money by switching to T-Mobile
4. Save on your car Insurance
Then I was told their number had changed and to call 1-800-712-6660 but I all I got was that I won a free Cruise, I never was able to speak to a real person.
We were looking to plan a vacation and thought we would try Bookvip but after reading the terms & conditions, we realized this would be a major mistake. We would be required to stay at the Holiday Inn for the first night in Cabo and attend the sales presentation before we would even be allowed to check into Villa del Palmer.
Additional Terms
When traveling to Cabo the participants MUST spend their first night in Mexico at the Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos or this promotion will be voided.
Scary to think what would of happened if we did not read the fine details.
Stay Away

Hello Dale,
I wanted to see if you had a chance to call our 888 849 8450 as you DEFINITELY MISDIALED - you dialed 1800-849-8450 which of course is why you received the message you stated. Considering you took the time to write this post in error, it would much appreciated that you corrected it. You can reach me directly [email protected] Thank you
UPDATE: As an update, you DEFINITELY called the WRONG phone number most likely 800 - 849 8450 NOT 888 849 8450, 888 849 8450 DEFINITELY IS our main number and we already received over 1000 calls today. There is a reason we have call centers in two counties, 24 hour customer service and over have 3.2 Millions Likes and are the fast growing travel company in the world. As I mentioned, you can email me directly [email protected] and I will gladly speak to you as it pains me when I see incorrect information posted.
Thank you for your email and apologize for any confusion, however you are definitely mistaken. The Villa del Palmar is the one sponsoring the discounted promotion at the Villa del Palmar Cabo and the Holiday Inn Los Cabos. You are required to spend the first night at either hotel you are staying at for the duration of the vacation. So if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Cabo or Villa del Palmar, you spend your entire vacation at that resort. Only the resort preview is held at the Villa del Palmar Cabo. It makes no sense to do it as you described. My apologies if not properly explained so please contact me so can make amends for any inconvenience. [email protected]
We have have more customer videos than any other travel web site in the world and http://www.bookvip.com/sitereviews and recently received a video from the Villa del Palmar Hotel praising us for our 8 year partnership after sending thousands of happy vacationers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xuhYp2j3tM

Thanks for reaching out and helping to solve the problem...which in the end you REALLY DIDN"T because you have a different agenda!!!
We had a big problem, when they called us after a month that the promo we bought already ended and the hotel is no longer available. I got so much stressed talking to their customer service but thanked God that the owner Mr. James Colligan and their CEO Wayne helped me out to solved this problem. I had to booked to a different hotel which turned out a little bit more pricey but they paid the difference. Also they gave us a complimentary voucher for 4 days and 3 nights. I changed my review to 4 stars because we haven't used the complimentary voucher yet so after we used it in June then I will update and change the 4 stars to 5. I just want to say thank you to the owner who did some action as soon as he learned what happened to us. Thank you!!!
____________
I have to changed this review again! Just today I got a call from this bookvip asking about our supposed to be vacation that they gave us particularly the owner James Calligan, I told the woman that my hubby had an emergency so he won't be able to come with us and that I'll just be the one to attend the seminar that she was talking about. But she she said, if your husband can't come then you need to pay the hotel. I was like why do I need to pay the hotel when that was given as a complimentary by the owner? To make the long story short, they want us to attend because they want us to buy a property...what the heck??? So that's the catch to that. Now we are ready to go, we are already packed and my kids were all excited to go on Friday but sadly we can't because they said the husband should be present and that we need to buy the property!! What kind of scam is this??? If I can remove that 1 star I will really do. DON'T FALL FOR THESE SCAMMER. I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON THE FIRST TIME THEY DID IT IN JANUARY, THEN I FELL FOR THEIR SWEET TALKS AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED AGAIN NOW! GOD said bless the people who scam you and God will be the one to take care of them. What you did is just so unacceptable. Karma is just around the corner!!!!

Hi Precila,
All of our promotional packages are being sponsored by the resort who set the eligibility requirements. As i explained, in order to receive the complimentary stay from the resort in Maine you needed to attend the resort preview with your husband. When you notified us yesterday your husband couldnt go which is no fault of ours, we said we could reschedule ANYTIME in the next 12 months at no cost which I see you have conveniently not mentioned in your review. I thank God everyday as we have sent over 500,000 people on vacations and more actual customer testimonial reviews than any other travel web site http://bookvip.com/sitereviews
God bless you
