We ordered a cover for our boat from LAPORTE products . It wasn't delivered on time due to poor and careless shipping practices on their part. We communicated with them multiple times—they blamed UPS and, of course, wanted to charge us a 30% restocking fee, which was ridiculous. Be careful when ordering from this company.

Avoid this site. First off they don't advertise the brand of cover they sell. Maybe I should have looked deeper into this but from their site I thought the brand was Spartan. Once I receive the cover, it was a seal skin brand cover which is what I was trying to avoid buying since I previously had a bad experience with that brand. I thought maybe it was sent by mistake because it was also the wrong color. So I contacted customer service by filing out 2 different online forms and emailing them, and trying to talk via the chat options on their site. I was finally able to get the chat person to fill out a ticket and was told I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. After a week of not hearing anything I filled a dispute with my credit card company and a couple days after that they finally contacted me. They spent a few days trying to stop me from returning the product and finally approved a return after telling them multiple times that's what I needed. Upon approving the return they then told me there would be a 20% restocking fee which is ridiculous. I didn't even open up the cover. It was in the exact same shape as it was when they sent it since I didn't even take it out of the box. This company is a total scam. If they were upfront about the brand they sold, this issue would have been avoided and it's unbelievable that I trird every way to contact them and still have to file a dispute with my credit card company to get them to respond.

Ordered the cover and had it within a week. It fit perfectly and it seems well made, so I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. The only thing I noticed is on my particular boat, the vents in the cover are over solid boat and not the cockpit. Other than that it fits like a glove.

I wouldn't buy from this company &would give them negative stars if possible..The boat cover looks great first one lasted about 2 1/2 years, but shredded and all the straps were just rotting away. Once it got a small tear you could just pull it apart by hand easily,as well as the straps & sewn in loops! I contacted them and they actually told me there is a one time full replacement so they actually sent me another cover.(Exact same cover looked & fit great but lasted less than two years)I did try to contact them again just to inform them that this one fell apart also, but they said 1 time warranty replacement only, that's their policy.They don't do any other warranty since I made a claim so much for the 10 year warranty.Basically , these covers won't last much more than two years if you're lucky, and from all The reviews I've seen on here,it seems that they know they have a terrible product that doesn't stand up to weather although it looks good at first,... would strongly not recommend these boat covers!!!!

Advertised a 10 year warranty for a boat cover. Bought their upgraded one. Product lasted less than a year. Rotted away. wont refund. wanted a $45.00 warranty processing fee. product is worthless as is the company that also uses the name sealskincovers.com. Garbage.

I would give boatcover.com which is the same as sealskincovers.com a -5 rating if I could. I purchased a boat cover from them. They sent me the wrong one and they will not stand behind it. I’ve read the other reviews and they are not into customer satisfaction at all. I believe this company is nothing but fraudsters. I would highly recommend that nobody do business with this company.

Automatically disqualifies them in my mind. Bad boatcover.com appears to offer semi-custom patterns, after switching between boat manufacturers and models. Bad boatcover.com appears to offer lower grade materials. _______ Good boatcoverS.com appears to have unique patterns for manufacturers and models. Good boatcoverS.com has 4 material options for custom covers. The number of colors offered depends on the material selection. Good boatcoverS.com lists their address as 1010 Weyrens Road, Fergus Falls, MN 56537. Good boatcoverS.com address on Google maps shows the address is also for Shoretex Products (shoretexfabric.com). shoretex.com seems to be a local company where you can drop off your boat and get a truly custom cover or order from the many many boat manufacturer and model patterns. shoretex.com also say that a more economical "semi-custom" boat cover can be ordered from 32 different types of boats. Two material types and 13 colors are available.

Terrible company. Google made the mistake of listing them first when I typed in my requirements. They don't carry what I needed and I mistakenly bought something "close to" but ultimately too small. They "guarantee customer satisfaction" and would help me exchange the product for something bigger if I took pictures or refund me after exhausting all other options. They acted like they cared and have lots of good options. I jumped through their hoops and they refuse to actually follow through with helping me fix this. Their sales people won't contact me back like they say they will. Hundred bucks gone. Don't use this company.
