SCAM ALERT - If you're a Choice Hotel Privileges member you may be called by them to get points to hear out a promo from Bluegreen Vacations. Bluegreen lied to me about the promotion in order to get my money. When I went to book my promo stay I paid for, I uncovered that I was lied to about how it works and I can't actually use it- I specifically sought clarity on a point of who I can travel with, they assured me it was fine not to take to husband (he can't travel) and turns out that's not at all true- they just told me what I wanted to hear to get my sale. Their lies are in a recorded conversation. When I tried to escalate the issue to resolve it, I was blamed for booking late (I booked within the timeframe and that had nothing to do with anything) and they told me they would be refusing to give me my money back. There are a lot more details on the scam, lies, lack of integrity, etc but this is a summary. Also very disappointed in Choice Hotels for being part of selling their members out to a scam.. it's not like I sought this out on my own, Choice Hotels called me and roped me in.

I would give it a zero if I could. They lie to you about what you are purchasing , do not provide receipts, and then do not provide an option for exit. I was told I could go anywhere in the US but now am being told it is only one destination that I can use. I was also told the properties are pet friendly but now find out that is a lie as well. I requested a refund but the person I spoke to was only focused on my dog and waited around for 2 days to make a decision which then made it outside of my 30 day window for refund. I was never told there was a time frame to change my mind. Please , for the love of GOD, don't trust anything these people say. They are just a rip off.

My experience with Bluegreen has been extremely frustrating. After years of not using the timeshare and struggling with rising fees, I reached out for help with ending my ownership. Instead of support, I was told that nothing could be done unless I no longer owed on the mortgage which essentially leaves me stuck. Communication has been inconsistent, and despite being told someone would follow up, no one ever does until multiple requests. Even after explaining that the fees were no longer manageable and that the ownership had become a burden, the only “solution” offered was paying thousands of dollars just to exit. It shouldn’t be this hard to walk away from something you can no longer use or afford. The lack of transparency, the rising costs, and the dismissive responses make the entire process feel unfair. I expected honest help, not roadblocks. I can’t recommend this company based on how they treat owners once they need assistance.

I paid $199 for a reservation with BlueGreen Vacations. When I had to cancel, they charged a $99 cancellation fee—which I was told would come out of the $199. Instead, they charged a second $99, totaling $300 for a room I never stayed in. Customer service refused to help or correct the issue. Be careful — they use misleading fee structures and zero accountability.

My experience with Blue Green has shown how difficult and frustrating it becomes The moment you ask for help with canceling I had to send multiple emails just to get a response, and even then communication was unreliable Calls were not returned and the one representative who initially reached out never followed up or scheduled anything The financial strain from rising cost maintenance fees and the cost of traveling to even use he product has made ownership unmanageable. Every visit came with pressure to buy more, and the promise made during the sales process like easy travel, money savings, straight forward usage never matched reality. When I finally got someone on the phone,I was simply told there were "no options" for me After ongoing pressure unclear answers and lack of support,it is disappointing to learn that getting real help is nearly impossible. This experience reflects exactly what it is like to exit Bluegreen ownership: slow response, inconsistent communication, and no real solutions when is needed

We purchased this timeshare hoping for good memories, but it has become a heavy financial burden and a constant source of frustration. We were not given the full truth about how the timeshare works, forcing us to pick up extra work just to keep up. Actually booking trips has been nearly impossible; securing 3-room suites is a challenge as they are consistently unavailable or outside our points range. We've even had unexpected trouble booking at the resort in our home state. When we tried to get help, the customer service was unacceptable, leaving us feeling like they are intentionally trying to make us chase our tails. Yayonna emailed to assist us, but has been completely unresponsive and never returned our calls. Following this failure, Bunny told us to contact Pinnacle Vacations, suggesting they could help, which led to yet another dead end. The consistent lack of support makes this whole thing more frustrating. Not worth the money or the headaches.

Bluegreen Vacations continues to operate with misleading sales tactics and broken promises. After paying the ownership in full, the company demanded nearly $39,000 upfront just to terminate, which is unreasonable and unethical. Owners were encouraged to buy additional points under false promises, later told those purchases disqualified them from benefits that were never properly disclosed. Even after repurchasing and consolidating accounts as instructed, booking high-demand locations remains nearly impossible despite following all procedures. Promised benefits tied to premium status and Hilton’s acquisition have never been delivered. Meanwhile, rising maintenance fees and lack of support have turned this program into a financial burden. The so-called “exit options” only add insult to injury. Bluegreen should allow contract termination without additional cost and address the misrepresentations that have caused ongoing hardship for many owners.

Bluegreen Vacations misrepresents their timeshare products, promising flexibility and easy booking that do not exist. Reservations are difficult to secure, and nearly every interaction turns into a sales pitch. Attempts to cancel or exit the contract are ignored, and the company refuses to consider cancellation until all payments are complete. Communication is poor, with representatives failing to follow up and denying accountability. This ownership has become an ongoing financial and emotional burden, and the company shows no willingness to provide a fair way out.
