Where do I start? Message the CEO on LinkedIn and ask him how much his "Doctor of Humane Letters" from Virginia Commonwealth University cost him. What a scam of a business. "We help people" they are sure to say. Their ecommerce/IT vendor sorely needs replacing; glitches galore. I called on Monday to complain and Donald was not hearing it. I sincerely could not get two words out before he had interrupted me four times. And then demanded I be "professional". Rank psychological projection. They do not record their calls for quality assurance and Jordan H., the "Director of Business Operations" claims on his LInkedIn page that he os a "Quota-surpassing Senior Manager for Business Operations with rich experience in process improvement, performance management, customer service, data analytics, auditing, quality control, bug reviews, cross-functional team leadership & management." None of that was apparent on the call. Or on the follow-up. Find an alternative.

I paid $800 for their Diamond package for six months to sell franchises, and 98% of the leads or bogus and most likely generated by a Bot. Initially, we received leads (an average of two daily) and immediately responded to the inquiry but never got any response 98% of the time. We also noticed duplicate submissions (a minute apart) of the inquiries submission form. It was a little strange, but initially, we did not pay much attention because we thought maybe the person who submitted the Inquiry Form made a mistake, but the info was precisely the same as the first form. Out of 250 leads for the six months, as stated, we estimated that 98% of those were bogus. We started paying close attention, and at one point in a five-day period, we got a massive amount of leads, about ten daily, but no response from the leads by email or telephone; no one ever answered. We made a test by offering one of our franchises for free to ascertain if the leads would respond, but none ever did. We investigated a few of the leads by paying for a background check to get their actual contact info, and we could not get any tangible information on the person. In particular, we found a profile on one of the leads their CV. The name, phone number, and email are the same on the person's CV. Apparently, someone connected to BizBuySell or a Bot search for personal data online and submit those as leads. BizBuySell parent company (CoStar Group) is a publicly-traded company, and based on my experience with their service, they are generating revenue fraudulently which benefits their stock value. I have already contacted an attorney and will send a detailed report to the FDC. I reached out to BizBuySell and they just ignored my messages.

No real listings on the site. Brokers don't contact back to strong qualified buyers. I responded to 5 listings in my area/field of interest and not a single response after upwards of 3 weeks. I got a single response from a seller that I reached out to directly after the broker did not respond and was then told the listing was actually a franchise start-up opportunity. I reported this fraudulent listing to BBS and they did nothing. They just said "we let the seller know you're waiting for a response" and left it at that. No real service, no real businesses for sale, and no serious brokers/sellers on the platform. Stick to a local broker in your area and avoid aggregators like these. I'll return back to update if I ever hear from a listing broker or seller...

BE AWARE: You'll definitely get leads on buyers when you list a LEGIT business with BizBuySell, but the company itself has some petty anti-customer policies. We DARED close our Corporate account that we'd had for years because the platform is very clunky and horrible to navigate & search as a buyer. And for sellers, despite paying extra to upgrade our listings to be actually-viewable and locatable on searches, we still learned that search results would skew wildly and unless specifically saved, our buyers couldn't easily go back to our listings for info. We have WAY more success for less cost advertising our listings locally ourselves. KNOW THIS: (Just one example of how petty this company plays) 1. They instantly cut off your access to ALL your information/history, and DELETE everything but they don't warn you ahead of time when you close your account with them. So, you'll have no access to your metrics, stats, or leads. Fortunately, anticipating this, our staff downloaded everything prior to closing account. 2. NOT anticipated was them Bulk e-mailing hundreds of our buyer clients to misrepresent that our listings had all gone OFF-MARKET, which is totally misleading, false advertising, and patently untrue. We merely took our listings off THEIR PLATFORM to advertise them elsewhere. We pivoted this into an opportunity to reconnect with those clients who now also know that the information BBS puts out can't be trusted; thus, the company itself can't be trusted. Thanks BizBuySell! They are very proud and stand by this and many other purely profiteering policies, and firmly stand by their petty retribution-like actions like these misleading emails and obliterating leads and metrics that you paid THOUSANDS to procure. They even tried gaslighting my Assistant into believing that she didn't know the meaning of "off-market"... that somehow, merely closing an account equates to an Active listing going off-market for the rest of the world of end users. Apples & oranges, but to them, it's all fruit. BEWARE and prepare, if you bother at all to give this company your money.

This site is a joke. Inquired about multiple businesses in the Tulsa area. Received an automatic email saying I’ll be contacted within 3 days. Never a word. I signed up, sent multiple emails and nothing. Huge scam, not real people for the most part. It’s all AI, so you know what that means, no real person. It’s a joke and a waste of time. This review is sent to a bs email. There will be no response because there is no real person.

Absolute scam, I listed my business and in 3 months, all I received was solicitations and scams similar to those emails scams you get. They leave your credit card on file and in order to cancel, you are taken to a contact us form that doesnt work. You have to call and no one ever picks up so you have to leave a message. They finally cancelled but I still can’t remove my credit card on file, so I’m not sure it will actually prevent them from charging again. I put a block on them on my credit card.
