I have purchased the bamboo feeder and the bamboo nest duo. Both are very well constructed and high quality. All the cameras are very clear and give a good picture when viewed on a phone/tablet or even when cast to a tv screen. Both are worth the money, in my opinion. What lets them down is the bird recognition AI. I’m constantly told I have a blackbird visiting, when it’s clearly the same blue tit/great tit that was there just moments ago. Or I get a correct notification for a collared dove, only for the next notification telling me it’s a blue jay. I’m sure this will improve with more people submitting corrections, but some of the mistakes are really obvious. Not great considering it’s a service you are paying to subscribe to

I love my Birdfy products. I had an issue with one and they were not able to correct it so I got a full refund. I currently have 6 Birdfy cameras that double as home security. Keep up the great customer service and wonderful products.

All of the Birdfy products are excellent and all well built. Birds love them. And, they are a great company to deal with if you need customer service, they are very reasonable & understanding.

Birdfy might look like a fun product, but the setup is a nightmare if your home uses modern Wi‑Fi. The camera only works on 2.4 GHz, and the app refuses to connect if your phone is on 5 GHz — even if your router supports both. Most routers today combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network name, so Birdfy constantly throws “wrong password” or “5 GHz not supported” errors even when the password is correct. To get it working, you have to dig into your router settings, split your Wi‑Fi bands, rename networks, or walk far away from your router just to force your phone onto 2.4 GHz. No other smart device I own requires this much hassle. If you’re not comfortable changing router settings or dealing with band steering, expect a frustrating setup experience. Birdfy should make this clear in their marketing, because the 2.4 GHz limitation is a major barrier for most households

During my research, one name kept appearing over and over again as the best on the market: NETVUE BIRDFY. It didn’t matter whether I was using Google, AI tools, reading reviews, or watching YouTube videos—including unbiased videos that were not sponsored or affiliated—Birdfy consistently stood out. I ultimately chose the Birdfy Feeder 2 Pro. I went with the single solar powered camera version, which has been perfect. It’s great to know that if I ever want to add a second camera, which I will be doing now, the feeder already includes the bracket needed for that—so upgrading later is easy. One of the biggest deciding factors for me was the app. My mother struggles with phones, apps, and technology in general, and I absolutely needed something she could use without frustration. I can honestly say Birdfy completely delivered on this. Their reputation for creating a simple, intuitive app is 100% deserved. My 82-year-old mother, who normally has issues with almost every app, has had zero problems using the Birdfy app—and she loves it. That alone makes this worth every penny. What makes it even better is that I also have access to the app and camera, which turns this into a gift for both of us. I get to watch the birds too—and beyond that, the feeder also doubles as a discreet backyard security camera, which gives me tremendous peace of mind. The motion detection is excellent. It doesn’t waste alerts on things like pets, but it very reliably detects birds and people. If a human enters the area, it will absolutely be picked up. I love that it adds an extra layer of protection for my mom in a way that doesn’t look like an obvious security camera. The ability to open the app and instantly view live video at any time is incredible. And the camera quality? Outstanding. The night vision is so good that you can barely even tell it’s night vision—it doesn’t have that old, grainy look at all. The image quality is sharp, clear, and impressive day or night. If you’re on the fence because you think this might be too expensive, think again. You truly get what you pay for here. Honestly, the price feels more than fair for the quality, technology, and experience you’re getting. The feeder itself is beautifully designed—modern, sleek, and almost like a piece of Italian modern furniture. It looks futuristic and very well thought out. My only concern (and this is minor) is long-term durability of the plastic in extreme heat. I live in Texas, where summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, and I hope the plastic holds up well over time. I did not purchase the metal seed guard initially, though I plan to. I will say that I think it should really come standard rather the plastic one but it’s still nice that the option to upgrade exists. One small tip for anyone considering this: I chose hulled bird seed (no shells), and it makes a huge difference in keeping things clean and mess-free. Highly recommended. The packaging, instructions, and overall presentation were excellent—clean, thorough, and clearly the result of a lot of thought and effort. This product feels refined and perfected. I genuinely don’t feel the need to look elsewhere anymore. Not just for this feeder—but for this category in general. From this point on, Birdfy has earned my loyalty. This will be the only company I buy bird feeders from in the future. Most importantly, thank you for creating something that truly makes people happy.
