They Lie.
This company is trying to extort my small start up. My company interviewed Birdeye about one year ago. We were specifically looking for a company to either educate us or provide us with a specific service- we wanted to know if it was possible to have our website come up on the first page of a google search within a specific demographic area. Birdeye insisted they could provide this service. We engaged in a contract with them and paid $3,000. Three to four months later we were being told by multiple employees they couldn't provide that services, that we had to generate thousands of reviews from customers in order for that search results to happen. And suddenly we could no longer get in contact with the employee who sold us the contract. We disputed the contract in September 2023 stating that there was false advertising and we engaged with the company based on false advertising. We requested cancellation and a refund. We were ignored over and over and over and it took threatening lawyers to get a response. We eventually got the refund and never heard from Birdeye again. Until recently. When Birdeye sent us a bill for $3,000 and a late fee charge of $150 to automatically renew our contract?! After a forty five minute phone call and many emails we are still in dispute. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau who have taken on the case and we are consulting lawyers.
