Birch Gold GroupReviews of birchgold.com

Birch Gold Group staff helped me through my first time purchase of this type. All the steps involved were explained to me and I felt comfortable and safe doing business with their company. My purchased items arrived complete in a timely manner.

Everyone in the company provided me with all the information that I required and answered all my questions very clearly. They also were very quick and efficient with all the process and helped me reach my objectives.

The representatives are respectful, knowledgeable, and accurate in their presentations. The waiting period between ordering and receiving product does get a little nerve racking as time goes by, but always within the presented time frame. Thank you for being a trusted source.

As a first time investor in gold & silver, I felt uncertain about what to do or expect. Birch Gold communicated beyond expectation at every step of my purchase. Someone either called or emailed to make sure I was satisfied with the service and wanted to know if I had any questions or concerns at each step of the purchase. They keep making sure that we, their customers, are happy. I am so confident I made the right choice with Birch Gold Group.

This company is extremely thorough and professional from the start to the finish of the transaction. I highly recommend Birch to anyone looking to diversify their portfolio with gold or silver.

BG charged: Over 18.6% fee charged over cost for Gold bullion Over 69% fee charged over cost for Silver fixed mintage Minimum deposit $10,000 KE charged: Only 8% fee over cost for both Gold and Silver bullion Minimum deposit $500 I was a first time buyer and called Birch Gold after hearing Steve Bannon talk about them in March 2022. The sales guy was impatient and dismissive of my questions and I felt rushed. I had to wire money to them before talking specifics of my purchase. I wanted bullion at the time but did not realize the difference between it and fixed mintage. I was persuaded to buy fixed mintage which is twice as expensive. I later found another company for my 2nd purchase at the beginning of 2023 but gave Birch Gold a chance again. Had the same sales guy and was told to send the money again before talking about what I wanted. I decided to call another company and I’m delighted with them. KE is more personable, friendly and they tell you all costs up front before sending money. They also made me feel that my questions and understanding mattered and I didn’t feel like just another commissioned sale for them. It pays to shop around! UPDATE: Apparently BG says I was charged... "Your overall margin was about 14%" which was still almost twice as much as what KE charged me. Don't get suckered into the "rare" fixed mintage coins. At the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 I was offered to exchange the fixed mintage for bullion (double checked with KE if it was a fair trade off) with shipping paid both ways. In the end I am happy that I was able to fix this part of my transaction with BG but the overall sale still leaves me sour to ever doing business with them again. Gave a second star for the BG lady manager that tried to make it right with me.

I called Birch Gold Group upon the recommendation of a friend. I asked the first person I spoke with, Brock Kelly, to please educate me on this process as I am a first time buyer and gathering information. His response was "Given the current climate, why wouldn't you buy gold?" That fact that I was asking for information brought him to state to say "we are not a good match, let me connect you with another specialist". I agreed and Steward Nash came on the phone. When I stated I was a first time buyer interested in purchasing and requested education, this specialist hung up on me. Long story short, I would discourage first time buyers needing information from purchasing from Birch Gold Group. They are only interested in orders and not customer service. In contrast, after my call with Birch, I contacted a local store, Ed's Elegant Coins. He was friendly, took time with me, was helpful and educational. As a plus, he was significantly less expensive when comparing the exact same gold coin. I am purchasing from Ed's.

Updated review: my initial review was very negative and that was probably unfair to Birch Gold. Since I have purchased gold in late 2020, the market has went crazy and I have lost almost half of my original investment. I suppose my point to this review is, ask a ton of questions! Gold and silver is very complex. I put $150,000 into a gold and silver account to help protect against what I knew was going to be a tumultuous economy. Because of market fluctuations, my account is now worth only $86,000 or so. I honestly never even thought that was possible with gold and silver. That’s my point. I bought the gold and silver to protect against a terrible economy but the opposite happened. UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN! I didn’t and now I am stuck waiting for it to recover when I want to move it into some other investments that have a better growing potential.
