I like that I am helping people with my donations. I of course like that I get paid for my efforts. The majority of the staff are pleasant. What I don't like is the duration of waiting. On average, from the time I walk in the door until the time I leave, is about 3 hours or more. That is entirely too long. I have worked all day, sat in traffic to get there. Then having to wait that long is not pleasant.

I’m a military veteran dealing with an undiagnosed PTSD issue making it literally impossible for me to work with certain civilians due to my breakdowns. I rely on donating plasma to just get by and wish there were more deals honoring veterans. (Like a monthly code, provided to veterans) for an extra bonus for our sacrifices, cutting out family and our struggles in working in the civilian sector. Veterans should be honored.

They need either way get more people to work because they become pretty slow on the process

Generally, a great place with great staff. But, I'm more than a little miffed because I can't go back for eight weeks due to "technical" issues (things that were NOT my fault). Twice I didn't get the proper return (once because of the machine, once because I believe the techs did not act fast enough to switch arms). So, no I'm out of what was supposed to be my income to feed my kids and other bills to help pay. So, I'm now missing out until November 11th due to miscues. Not cool.

I love the Layton Ut Center and staff. I do not like the new red blood cell loss deferal.. 3 low blood flows you don't get your red blood cells returned and then they defer you for 8 weeks. It's ridiculous. It's forcing whole lot of donors to have unneeded red blood cell losses. There's no reason the red blood cells cannot be returned unless of course there's air bubbles or clots in the line. Before this new rule there were times I could have 8 to 10 low blood flows, get my red blood cells back and everything was just fine. This new rule is causing a lot of donors to not be able to donate and in turn that decreases the donations you receive for much needed plasma.

First I’ve been giving plasma since last November… and it has been a great experience but 2 times in a month the machine I was hooked to messed up and both times it was right at the start once the number on the machine was 2 and the last time it was 1 they deferred me for 8 weeks that is just ridiculous. They said that because it happened twice I lost to many blood cells to donate for 8 weeks, sorry but I think this is going too far maybe a couple of weeks but 8 weeks is too many

I go to the Moreno Valley location. Everyone there is very nice and professional. My reluctance to continue is because of the long processing time. 2+ hours from appointment time to completion and leaving the office is a long time. It would be nice to have a location in the Hemet area. I have a 45 minute drive from my house and a 1.5 hour drive from work.

I've never had a real problem with BioLife. I recently got banned for 8 weeks because the machine malfunctioned. This happened to me 2 times in a month so I get banned. They even said it had nothing to do with me, it was the machine. What a crock!! I think they need to update their policies.
