I have been going all of 2023 and all employees are nice and professional. I had an incident where in the Purple section the machine I got hooked up to stopped working correctly. It would not give me my blood back so it was considered a substantial blood loss and I was banned for 8 weeks. This was not my fault, but the machine's fault. I think we should then get paid for the full week in this case. I was on the first of my two visits. I lost 8 weeks of potential income. :-(

Well there is so much to improve. Mine goes a little beyond the donation process which we all know is a gamble on waiting times…They in my opinion have improved a little since the new machines however how many workers to fix a vein issue well on this day it was 6 people gathered around with there hands in pockets never mind the other people or even greet or assure the others that they are working vs looking like 3 bumps on a log behind 3 other engaged people. I am not sure what was to be learned when you can’t even see what’s going on. Communication goes a long way especially when a few words can lead one to make a decision to stay or not well after 45 minutes and seeing that 4 people were waiting and ironically I had a job interview with them because it’s obviously short staffed and since I was an medical assistant for over 10 years I thought why not. Well I had to travel across town. Before I left I asked if I could reschedule and donate over there if an appointment was available they said yes well how dumb did I look because of lack of information. Well I make it to my interview and they didn’t even know I was coming. No problem stuff happens well I felt the interview went well and she admitted it did. Well it’s been almost a month and not even a decline call which was promised but she did state it wouldn’t be the one to let me know well I left messages and nothing. So I’m feel like maybe I was to old at 38 or maybe my application fell through the cracks and this is all a honest mistake but why no return call or the person who interviewed me is either severely hard if hearing or see seen me and didn’t want to tell me anything. I don’t know I just know it feel crappy to be make it to a second interview only to be left waiting longer then there slow flow. Oh I remember getting poked by a worker covered in hickeys talking as if she don’t value her job because she clearly started talking about explicit things and truth be told I made that mistake once and the embarrassment that I endured changed my perspective on sharing too much. I was low key thinking should I of came all sluty or ten years younger because I Already knew basic phlebotomy from my experience in the doctors office. I give plasma to and I feel like I could of made a difference there especially after reading all these negative reviews. But I’m not under qualified enough. I know that you don’t have to go to phlebotomy school anymore because that didn’t help my case on pay differential because they train you OJT. But maybe someone wrote less then what the pay is under desired pay and the company took an opportunity to save a few bucks idk but even though the list is a mile long the possibility of being a better company and service is by communicating the good the bad and the ugly. Setting the expectations, show some empathy because you need me and I need you to make life as we know it work

The wait time is horrible. They schedule people like they have all the beds working and enough staff. Only half of the beds are open and they are extremely under staffed. There app needs updated. It stops working all the time. Last week it let me schedule an apt and I drove there 30min drive and they tell me oh sorry but you cant donate today. The system is set up so it wont let you schedule when it is to early, that didn't happen to me. The people who work there are extremely nice!!!

When I started donating I was told “It only takes an hour after this first appointment”. Tuesday I stood in line for an hour just to be assigned a chair. Last week I turned around and walked out twice because the line was backed up to the door. I don’t know that I will go back, it’s just not worth it.

Is really hard to get a good appointment and the app. Don’t let you to Reeschedule app. When they defer you for whatever circumstances. So you really loose time when you available only one time to donate

After donating on and off during 2021, I came back and donated in August 2023, no problem. I received emails asking me to come back so I did at the beginning of October. The tech kept moving the needle around and I ended up with major blood bruises that kept me from donating for 2 weeks. When I came back a manager tried to get a needle in and said that I had too much scar tissue from previous donations. Now I’m concerned about the possibility of health problems and needing a transfusion or IV, but not being able to do either.

I hate the sign when you walk in that says it will only take an hour. I’ve been a customer for 5 months and it ALWAYS take 3 hours - at least I’ve learned to plan for that much time. And the reason it takes that long - the staff are too busy chatting and doing nothing to service the donors. Come on man - No one should wait in a bed for 24 minutes (yes I time it each donation) to get hooked up! And that is often after a 30-40 minute wait to even get a bed. Why the heck do we have to make appointments?!?! Not to mention that 1 out of 3 times the ‘stick’ is bad and the staff havecto play with the needle - nauseating. Right now thinking I’m done with this. Money ain’t that good for the time and hassle.
