I have found most of my books for 1/3 of the cost 95% of the time. Even newer editions. I recommend Bigwords.com to anyone who listens.

this is a great alternative to shopping around yourself, and a definite win over dropping hundreds at the college bookstore where they will give you less than pennies on the dollar for sellbacks that are then reshelved for barley even a 20% markdown.

Literally, there is no other company you should be using to find textbooks before using BigWords first. It has revolutionized my experience and saved me sooo much money.

Whenever I want to sell books of any type, Bigwords.com is my go-to starting point. It gives me a great reference point as to how much I'll probably get. It used to work great, but as booksellers have gotten more complicated (e.g., sellback must total over $50), Bigwords is now not as accurate. It looks like it's having difficulty adjusting. That said, it is the ONLY place I recommend to others who need to buy textbooks! I think it is still a great resource for all us students, past and present!
