I sent a book in excellent condition and they say it is "rough"
I sent sellbackyourbook.com a pristine copy of
9780960345038 The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch
and they said it was in rough condition.
I disagree with their assessment most vehemently!
I amm highly displeased with this experience.

awful and untrustworthy
this website damn near robbed me, they take comparisons of low quality books from mainstream publishers and sell off their trash. two of the 3 books I ordered came in two weeks later than they were supposed to and were falling apart by the bind. DO NOT use them unless you want to deal with trash all semester. why not just go to publisher website instead of paying a fee for them to middle man them.

Dear Jacob,
I would be happy to discuss this via email or the phone, if you're interested. I feel terrible that you had a bad experience. Almost all of our customers are incredibly happy with out service, and it pains me to find out that someone out there isn't.
We bring together all of the best textbook stores on the Internet in one place. When I say "best", what I mean is that we only work with companies that have 1.) lots of books, 2.) a great customer service track record, and 3.) good prices.
It's important to note that we do not sell anything. We are a search engine for books, searching the inventory of many, many online stores. I don't know which store you purchased from, and I hope you will tell me so that we can take this issue up with them directly.
Although it is not a perfect system, we do a tremendous amount to try to strip out bad copies, untrustworthy sellers, and the like, so that our service shows you *better* books that what you would see if you went straight to Amazon or another retailer.
We do this by ignoring books in bad condition, and we ignore books being listed by sellers with less than an 85% positive feedback rating. Now, in order for that to work, of course the site (Amazon marketplace, half.com, ebay, abebooks, etc) have to have correct ratings, and they have to enforce the quality rating of the books they list. Occasionally, a new seller will come online and list books that really shouldn't be listed. It's hard for our uber-bot to know, since we cannot see the books and have to rely on the comments.
We also show you all of the selller comments about the books, and the sellers on most of those platforms are required to be honest in their descriptions. So... if your books were not in the condition they were reported to be, there is no question that you can get your money back, and we can help you with that process if you'd like.
I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience, and I just want to let you know that we have designed our AI and software to find not only the cheapest prices, but to ensure that you are buying those items only from reputable sellers with a great track record.
Kindest Regards,
Jeff Sherwood

Ugh!
I tried to buy a book .. But only one list came up to rent so I bought one on another site
Response from BIGWORDS.comAug 14, 2016
BIGWORDS shows you the cheapest option among the thousands of copies available to buy, rent, or download. If for any reason, you don't like the copy that we selected, you can always click "ignore this copy" and the next cheapest will be selected. On the left hand side of the screen, you have many options, including whether or not to include rentals, eBooks, international editions, select shipping speed, etc. In this case, if you had clicked on "ignore this copy", then the site would have asked you whether you wanted to ignore all rentals or just this one copy. Finally, if you really want to take the uber-bot by the horns, you can click "view all copies" and the Uber-BOT will show you all.

Advertise broken laptops!
Why sell poor college students broken laptops from eBay website?
Response from BIGWORDS.comAug 1, 2016
Hi Craig! As a price comparison site, we show you all the offers we can find for any particular item. We even strip out any offers from sellers with low feedback scores, thereby helping you find the best item. In the case of laptops, it's up to the user to read the comments and make sure it is what they want. Please note that there is an icon next to every price where you can ignore that particular offer or the entire store. The Uber-BOT will then go back to the web and find the next lowest priced items for your consideration. If you purchased an item from eBay that you feel was different than advertised, eBay may be able to refund the money. If you're happy with this answer, please consider giving us a better review!

Crazy
I did not make a purchase from them so have no idea why I was asked to review them. Somebody has some explaining to do.
Response from BIGWORDS.comApr 18, 2016
Hi Sheila, we are just asking our email subscribers to rate our price comparison service. There was an automatic follow-up email asking for a review that happened to say "because you purchased from us." It was just a typo. Sorry. Would you consider giving us a rating based on your actual experience with BIGWORDS.com? Or... if you've never used BIGWORDS to find textbook prices, consider removing the negative review? These reviews are public :-)
