So, I was hesitant about the site but checked it out because a colleague recommended it. As a graduate student, getting books fast and cheap is integral to my semester survival. Needless to say, BigWords has definitely earned space in my higher education survival-guide.

awful and untrustworthy
this website damn near robbed me, they take comparisons of low quality books from mainstream publishers and sell off their trash. two of the 3 books I ordered came in two weeks later than they were supposed to and were falling apart by the bind. DO NOT use them unless you want to deal with trash all semester. why not just go to publisher website instead of paying a fee for them to middle man them.

Dear Jacob,
I would be happy to discuss this via email or the phone, if you're interested. I feel terrible that you had a bad experience. Almost all of our customers are incredibly happy with out service, and it pains me to find out that someone out there isn't.
We bring together all of the best textbook stores on the Internet in one place. When I say "best", what I mean is that we only work with companies that have 1.) lots of books, 2.) a great customer service track record, and 3.) good prices.
It's important to note that we do not sell anything. We are a search engine for books, searching the inventory of many, many online stores. I don't know which store you purchased from, and I hope you will tell me so that we can take this issue up with them directly.
Although it is not a perfect system, we do a tremendous amount to try to strip out bad copies, untrustworthy sellers, and the like, so that our service shows you *better* books that what you would see if you went straight to Amazon or another retailer.
We do this by ignoring books in bad condition, and we ignore books being listed by sellers with less than an 85% positive feedback rating. Now, in order for that to work, of course the site (Amazon marketplace, half.com, ebay, abebooks, etc) have to have correct ratings, and they have to enforce the quality rating of the books they list. Occasionally, a new seller will come online and list books that really shouldn't be listed. It's hard for our uber-bot to know, since we cannot see the books and have to rely on the comments.
We also show you all of the selller comments about the books, and the sellers on most of those platforms are required to be honest in their descriptions. So... if your books were not in the condition they were reported to be, there is no question that you can get your money back, and we can help you with that process if you'd like.
I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience, and I just want to let you know that we have designed our AI and software to find not only the cheapest prices, but to ensure that you are buying those items only from reputable sellers with a great track record.
Kindest Regards,
Jeff Sherwood

Hey Casi, We are so happy you're happy! If you've never been let down, perhaps you could consider giving us more than 2 stars? Perhaps 5 starts LOL?
