I purchased 2 TurboTaxes today from Big Home Tax today and my credit card has a pending charge for the full amount. My account on their website, however, shows my payment failed (through PayPal) and I received no licenses. I did not trust that I will receive the licenses so I cancelled my order. I certainly hope this charge does not go through but if it does, I will dispute it.

UPDATE 1/29/25: Changing to 1 star review. After a couple of weeks, Big Home Tax canceled my license key without any reason or notification. This prevented me from efiling my state return. I tried calling them, but voicemail box was full. I had to purchase another license from Amazon. When I contacted Intuit about this, they told me several people had reported this about Big Home. Lesson learned- buyer beware! Software was delivered as promised and at a much lower price than Amazon, Walmart, or Intuit. I'll be back again next year. Thanks, BHT!

i was screwed out of my purchase price. I had to pay an additional $100 to bjs to buy legitimate version because I needed honest version right away.

No stars for this one. Sold me a Deluxe Turbo Tax last week with invalid activation key. According to Turbo Tax agent, the key was cancelled two months before this company gave me the same activation key. The reason for the cancellation per Turbo Tax? This company is not authorized to sell the Turbo Tax product and the key was cancelled Oct. 31 after the product had been sold to someone else. When confronted with this information, this company did not provide a refund. I have photocopies of our correspondence.

I purchased the program last Friday and was unable to download it on my computer. I followed the instructions to download on another computer and it wouldn’t go through and download. Not very happy as it took a long time, about three hours, with no solution. By that time, I was ready to block the charge and purchase another program to do my taxes. I still think I’m going to do that so that is why I rated you one and that’s generous.

The down load was corrupt. The only way to communicate is by phone to the company. Got a generic voicemail. Unsatisfied.

Great price. TT online for TT Deluxe is $70 and Big Tax was around $50. I bought it, downloaded it, and imported last year's data. So far, so good. NOT GOOD. PROBABLE SCAM. Six weeks later, I opened it and updated it. I received Error Code 605 which means the license code is invalid. Someone contacted me and offered to issue another License Code. Really?? If the first one was legitimate, it would be valid. No thanks. I bought a legitimate copy from Intuit and had no problems. Interestingly, all the previously imported data was still there. Definitely a scam.
