I checked into my vacation rental at 8pm Friday. Come the following morning at 7am myself and the other guest woke up with ants crawling on our faces and bodies. I am extremely disappointed I have payed over a thousand dollars and was given a rental with a bug infestation. The more we looked around the more ants we saw in the food in the beds all over the floors . We’ve contacted the leasing office and was told a person was coming shortly to perform an inspection.They did an inspection and that was it. The guy clearly saw ants everywhere even took videos and photos.... They still did nothing. This has been a really bad experiences seeing as no one would like to wake up with bugs on them. Make sure before renting to clarify with them and read the terms and agreements CLOSELY. Also, it is the following Thursday and still no call from them after they told us they would be in contact. I could also tell that the cleaning crew did not even clean. There was dirt, dust in places that couldn't have just accumulated over a couple hours.There was a hairball on the shower wall and Little to no towels. Also, The house was wide open when we got there, we had instructions on where the lock box was and keys and so forth but the house was not even locked when we got there. Clearly, the cleaning people either left it wide open, or they did not even clean and it was from the last people. I would recommend them sending same day photos or walk through before renting a house from them. Enough said.

Big Bear Review: Please take the time to read through this complete review. Big Bear Vacations is a company worth your Vacation dollars. The House Negatives: 1. When we arrived we soon discovered a problem with the cleaning. The cleaning crew had only lightly gone over the house, leaving it filthy under the furniture, corners, etc. 2. The towel situation was lacking. No washcloths, few hand towels (there were nine of us,) and only one bath towel per person. 3. The main, large-screen TV was also found not to be working. Unfortunately, it was Academy Awards Sunday, and that’s a yearly tradition for our group of middle-aged women. The Fixes: Big Bear Vacations was contacted, and they went above and beyond to make it right. Tim and Christina’s response was commendable. They were pleasant, apologetic, and ‘on it’ to make sure the problems were corrected to the best of their ability. After an original snafu the towel situation was corrected. The house was expertly cleaned the next day. And a tech was sent to address the TV— unfortunately he could never get the TV to work. The House Positives: 1. It was a great Big Bear location, close to shopping and skiing. 2. The roads were clear and drivable in snowy weather. 3. The property was great for sledding and building snowmen. 4. The home had a lot of space for all nine of us. 5. There was a large dining room table, so we could all sit together for meals, and the dining room table was perfect for games. 6. The nice kitchen was a spacious gathering place as well. It was great for cooking. However, the kitchen didn’t supply much, so be sure to come prepared. We suffered for lack of corkscrew, but somehow we managed to get the wine open-LOL! Even with the difficulties, we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to use Big Bear Vacations in the future. Things can fall through the cracks, especially in the busy, snowy, Big Bear winter season. In today’s world, stellar customer service is hard to come by. Again, Christina and Tim at Big Bear Vacations went above and beyond to make things right.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. However the place was not fully functional. The hot tub was not working which is one of the main reasons the specific cabin was chosen. We asked to have it fixed and the guy that came said there was nothing that could be done. We let the front desk know on departure to have someone call us back but no one did to follow up. That really frustrated me and still looking for a discount or reimbursement.

Awesome great time would recommend big bear Vacations’s

They charged me for 2 nights even though I was booked for 1 night. My receipt even said "1 night stay" but later found out they were doing 2 nights minimum even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the website. Also, we cleaned the house before we left and they still charged us $50 for "trash and dishes" - we TOOK OUT the trash and ran the dish washer TWICE! I emailed them back asking about the fees, but they never responded. I'm having my bank take care of those extra charges but this is ridiculous.

Cabin not very clean, did it have any the amentities it was supposed to. When I called about this. I was told a work order would be made and someone would come out. I called back and then told no one was going to come to take care of the issues and they were sorry. They would have the manager call me and that never happend,

Not all the beds were made (6/8), it was okay the first night because not everyone was there. But for the second night we were short, we requested blankets in the morning of the second day but never received them. We were told they would email someone to get it taken care of and they couldn't guarantee we could get our blankets. The staff was friendly and I know they did all they could but there needs to be a more efficient way to take care of guests when they're missing something. Overall the experience wasn't bad. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed the movies.
