Overall, our trip was ok, but there was one glaring issue. The heater was making a loud rattling noise at night time that caused us to lose sleep. This was especially distressing since we had 2 small children and they were both frightened by the heater noise. We could have brought this up but we were informed from the repair person that the heater unit was recently fixed. Also, we did not want this to take away from our overall vacation experience thinking the noise would go away. We simply did not want to deal with it and chose to lease the premises 1 day earlier than intended. I just don't think I will be booking more future trips through the same venue.

FURNACE WAS WORKING, BUT "NOISEY" EACH TIME IT WOULD TURN ON IT WOULD WAKE YOU UP! OVERSIZE FURNITURE IN BED ROOM, COULDN'T WALK TO BED WITHOUT ALMOST TRIPPING ON ROCKER. OVERSIZED BED END TABLE TURNED SIDE WAYS FACING CLOSET DOOR (COULDN'T USE UNLESS YOU OPEN CLOSET DOOR, TABEL TO MIRROR). KITCHEN SINK - EACH TIME WASHED DISHES, YOU'D GET WASHED. NEEDED NEW WASHER ON FAUCET OR NEW FAUCET AND NO CAN OPENER TO OPEN OUR CAN FOODS (CABIN HAD CHEAP FLIMSY ONE THAT WOULDN'T WORK). HAD TO USE KNIFE TO OPEN CANS. DOORS - FRONT ENTRANCE AND ENTRY TO GAME ROOM "SQUEAKED" EACH TIME YOU'D OPEN IT. WATER- WASN'T VERY HOT. HAD TO WASH DISHES 2-1 TIMES TO GET GREASE OFF DISHES. SHOWERS DIDN'T STAY HOT ENOUGH TO COMPLETE YOUR SHOWER. GARBAGE IN FRONT PORCH CAN WAS FULL OF FROZEN WATER AND GARBAGE. CABIN- STATED NO PETS AND EACH TIME I SWEPT FOUND ANIMAL HAIR. THERE WAS EVEN A CHEWED UP DOG TOY ON KITCHEN PARTITION (GROSS). HAD A 10 MONTH BABY CRAWLING ON FLOOR, WORRIED SHED EAT THE HAIR!

1. Overall ok. However, kitchen was not the cleanest when we arrived. Plates, utensils,and drawers in the kitchen need some TLC. 2. Pillows and mattes weren’t too comfortable. 3. Did not appreciate how we had to lug all of our trash at the end of our trip in our car to a trash dump 15 min away.

The cabin was fine. The hot tub was dirty and we weren’t able to use it. Number one reason I wanted this place so that was a bummer birthday weekend. There was old open soap and shampoo stuff left in the shower. I reported the complaint about the hot tub and never got a call back. They did fix it the next day but it was too late. Other than that the location was great and it was great that we got to take our dogs.

Not all the beds were made (6/8), it was okay the first night because not everyone was there. But for the second night we were short, we requested blankets in the morning of the second day but never received them. We were told they would email someone to get it taken care of and they couldn't guarantee we could get our blankets. The staff was friendly and I know they did all they could but there needs to be a more efficient way to take care of guests when they're missing something. Overall the experience wasn't bad. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed the movies.

Other than the pictures and the front of the house looking great. The inside of the house was a little disappointing. The place was extremely spacious and the amenities were nice.But when we first entered there was still a bathing suit left on one of the chairs. Then as we started moving our stuff in and turning on the heater to warm up. There was the smell of trash that the previous tenants had forgotten to take out from the kitchen trash. There were no other spare towels or blankets for us to use which were usually available in other places we had rented. Also the ventilation system when we turned on the heater was extremely dusty. You could see a lot of dust and cobwebs in places that people would usually hang out around. We were all experiencing sinus issues with all the dust.

If you’re going to take charge of someone’s property, please make sure there are no damages or things that need to be repaired prior to an arrival at the selected location. I shouldn’t have to spend half my stay waiting for someone to come repair a busted toilet and electrical issues. And to the young lady at the office who said over the phone, “don’t you have another bathroom?” Why yes, yes we did. But if I wanted just ONE bathroom, I would’ve booked a place with ONE bathrooms not TWO and saved money. Get your customer service in order, make sure repairs are done prior to arrivals. This was my first and last time with these vacation rentals, I’m sure others had great experiences but mine was far from it. Good luck everyone!

This will have been my 4th review that I have filled out regarding my experience with big bear vacations. On all reviews I reported my complaints, have requested a partial refund and have requested management contact me. I have still not been contacted my management as requested.
