Be careful regarding the retail value that is posted. I looked up an item valued over $500. I looked up the value on the modian manufactures site, the item was being sold for $8.00. Same with a childs watch valued over $500. Which I knew was inflated. Same watch sold on Amazon for $6.00. I've seen some jewelry items extremely over valued...just be careful

Some very nice products but they are Not the quality they were when I first started bidding in the 2000. Watch the “Retail” values too…. Often over inflated

I took advantage of a sale. The listed retail price definitely didn’t match the actual value.

I just won an auction forJade earrings. The retail value was $ 1000 plus. I won is for a total of $67. I went to another site Tenu.com and found the same set of earring for $5.37. Both of these sites are from China. Bids.com do not investigate the items being sold on their site. The retail prices are placed on the item to get bidders to pay more for cheap items. Their is no way items on this site cost tens of thousand to hundreds thousand dollars. I have seen to many one and two stars reviews. I suggest buyers should take what they buy and have it appraised when they get it. I will not buy from bids.com any longer. I feel like I was scammed to bid our on a cheap item.

Dear Gary, We have tried to access the site Tenu.com, but it does not work. Bids.com works with the vendors and our vendors can sell on different platforms. Also, Bids.com is an auction house where you get the items at the winning prices — sometimes they can be lower and sometimes higher than at the other stores. The retail prices are the prices suggested by the manufacturers. All our items are authentic and come with a money-back guarantee. So if you are not happy with the product received, please contact us, and we will provide you with a free return label and a full refund immediately. We work with reliable vendors all over the world and even if the items come from China, we inspect its authenticity and quality. As for the negative reviews, they appear because the customers are not aware of our policy. However, we still investigate every case in a customer-friendly manner. Feel free to contact our Customer Service for any assistance you may need.

I have bought several items and I’m very happy with them and the service provided… but I have also won some auctions and never received the rings I’ve won… they say no reserve but it seems that is not true at all and I have proof of the auction I’ve won so don’t expect to get your items won because you may not get it

Great website for some fun and some nice jewelry HOWEVER please don’t take their “retail prices” at face value. There was a stainless steel watch that had a “retail price” of $1400 which, when you search up the brand, the only places selling it is Walmart, amazon, and Shein. Real retail price for that watch ended up being about $30. Looking at the pieces that I won auctions for I saw similar situations. It must be said that the price I paid was still lower than the real retail price I found with some research, but the real price is nowhere near the retail that is advertised. Unfortunately, I was one of the presumably many people who gave the advertised retail price too much weight is their willingness to buy. Not disappointed in the jewelry, but this one and only complain is important.

Dear Valued Customer, Bids.com is an auction house. Here you have a chance to win the items only at $1. Very often our customers win the items below real value. We do not mention the real values, we do not have them. However, we display the Retail Price which is the suggested price by the manufacturer, and it can be used only for comparison. If you have any concerns, please contact our Customer Support Team and we will be glad to assist you.

I received pearl necklaces with a note that says they are hollow inside. If you squeeze them hard they will be deformed. Now I’m not so sure they are genuine. Anyone else have this experience?
