Website advertises $500 for 5 sessions and during my consult the pricing was explained to me as $500 for my treatment. Come to find out, that each subsequent follow up for medication refill carries an ADDITIONAL $400/month! Total rug pull bait and switch. I told them I had financial issues with my previous provider and was attracted to the advertised "$43/month" total scam

Communication is almost non-existent. Even if you do get a response, the fastest is in 24-hours. If you call on a weekend, don't expect to hear anything until Monday. Support is even worse. If you want to talk to a provider or need need integration support, it's an extra $49 for 1/2 hour zoom/phone call. There's no real online way to do anything except order more and you're expected to self-serve with their app which is at best pathetic. Seems like it's real purpose is to distribute ketamine, not actually help people with depression/anxiety.

I strongly urge anyone considering Better U to look elsewhere. My experience from start to finish was incredibly disappointing. After taking my payment, Better U scheduled me with a clinician who never showed up to the appointment. There was no warning or explanation beforehand. I then had to be rescheduled with another clinician, and the appointment felt rushed and impersonal. I left feeling like they were simply going through the motions rather than providing thoughtful patient care or adequately explaining the treatment process. The most concerning part came afterward. I received my package, but the ketamine medication I was expecting was not in the box. The company has maintained that it was included, but it was not. None of the contents were clearly labeled, making it difficult to verify what was supposed to be there. When you’re seeking treatment for depression or anxiety, reliability, communication, and patient care are essential. My experience was the exact opposite. Instead of receiving the support I was looking for, I was left frustrated, stressed, and without the treatment I had paid for. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Better U. I encourage anyone considering this company to do thorough research and carefully consider other treatment providers before entrusting them with your care.

If there was a 0 star rating, that is what I would have chosen. The fact that you have to pay for all of your sessions up front without even speaking with a clinician is insane. The first appointment with a “peer support professional” is free and they give you hope that you would be a great candidate after providing basic medical information, they take your payment. After that, you schedule with a clinician. Then, when their clinician needs a clearance from your normal psychiatrist, it is not deemed as them making the decision that you are not a good candidate. They just need clearance from a medical professional…If someone is a good candidate, one would think that the process would just start without clearance. That is not the case. Then you do not get your full refund because their clinician is just asking for a clearance, not denying you. I feel that after meeting with a clinician(that could absolutely be paid for), then make the decision to move forward or not and then take the remainder of the payment for treatments. That would make sense. Instead it’s a $100 fee for the clinician and then they take 3.5% from the remainder of the amount paid for your refund. I have been going through this process with very little communication from Better U. It has been a stressful situation and definitely not making me a better me.

Completed a form to see pricing and received endless calls and spam

So, as you know I've been doing Ketamine therapy through Better U I've been doing these treatments for over a year. I was having problems with their compound pharmacies . One batch of Troches was good. The next refill was off a bit so they told me that they've changed to another compound pharmacy. I got a refill through THIS pharmacy and still things were just not right. So, they hooked me up with a local compound pharmacy and things have been going well. Monies were exchanged, prescriptions were filled AT A SET PRICE and ofcourse "I" agreed to THAT PRICE or else I wouldn't get the medication. Now, that I've paid them for ANOTHER (3rd refill) refill at THE SET PRICE that I paid before, they are NOW telling me that I have to pay an ADDITIONAL AMOUNT to get my prescription. Mind you, the money I paid them IS for the medication but NOW they tell me I have to pay MORE MONEY / 2 TIMES the cost of what was originally agreed upon...do you smell something ? Ya , I smell something shitty too. They have said that they have been paying for my prescriptions ....and I'm like, ya, that's the money that I paid you, to pay for my prescription. Mind you, this has been going on since DAY ONE. I pay you money and you fill my prescription. So, it is to MY understanding that Better U has NOT BEEN MAKING ANY MONEY OFF OF ME and they've been paying for MY prescriptions from DAY ONE until NOW ? Is that the bullshit you are trying to feed me ? Well, to say the least, I'm not a happy camper because I had to come out of my pocket and pay an additional sum of money in order to get my prescription....you think I'm gonna let this go....pfffft, ya right.

This morning, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, there is an article on the front page of the Wall Street Journal regarding Tricia Anne Dewey who used Better U's services and ended up dead. This is an unfortunate event, but not surprising. The standard in the psychiatric community is for a nurse to observe a patient after the patient taking Ketamine.

I paid the full amount for 9 treatments and that was $792 minus $100 promo so $692. They charged my card the full $792. When I downloaded their portal they wanted an additional $79 per treatment unless I had someone to sit with me for 3 hours before, during and after treatment. They also required I pay for a subscription to Spotify premium so I could listen to their music. What a scam!
