Don’t touch this hotel
When we arrived at the hotel, we went to Reef 3 reception. The welcome from the staff was not particularly friendly or helpful, and we were immediately bitten by mosquitoes while at the hotel. We were allocated room in Reef 5. Initially, the room looked modern and presentable, but there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom sink. There were also several problems with the room that should have been dealt with before our arrival: - We only had two towels despite there being four of us. - There was no shower gel provided. - There was no bedding provided for the fourth bed/sofa bed. - We had to make the sofa bed ourselves after requesting the bedding from reception. - We also had to request extra pillows. - The shower gel eventually provided was only a half-used bottle. - The main shower head was broken. These are basic requirements that we should reasonably have expected to be in place when checking into our room. We also experienced problems with the hotel's facilities and organisation. The different amenities were spread quite far apart, and we were initially directed to one location for breakfast, only to be refused and told to walk further to another location. To be fair, once we got there, the food was good and remained good throughout the holiday. The situation around the main pool was particularly unacceptable. Getting a sunbed was extremely difficult, with people jumping over the fence in an attempt to secure one. Guests appeared to have to wait around 45 minutes simply for a chance of getting a sunbed. This created unnecessary stress and completely detracted from what should have been a relaxing family holiday. The most frustrating issue throughout our stay was the lack of proper room cleaning and replenishment. Our room was not consistently cleaned, and toilet paper and other basic supplies were not replenished. I repeatedly raised this with reception and was told that it would be dealt with, but the situation did not improve. Eventually, I had to resort to taking toilet paper from the communal toilets because our room had not been replenished. I also had to attend reception first thing in the morning to request supplies. What made this even more disappointing was the complete lack of an easyJet representative available during our holiday. We had no easyJet representative to speak to about these problems or to seek assistance from when the hotel failed to resolve them.
