Visited Edinburgh Hanover Restaurant twice last weekend. Was especially impressed by the friendly service and the helpful attitude of the staff, especially Fin (Finlay?). He went out of his way to make sure everything weas just right for us. Food was good too.

A great meal I had with my family topped with a brilliant desert. It is suitable for all ages especially kids. The only thing is the food took a while to come but that might be because we had a semi-large order. Bella Italia is a must go to restaurant.

My friend and I Visited Birmingham New Street restaurant today. We were shown to our table by a nice friendly waiter Marc. We had a main course and desert which were very enjoyable. The waiter Marc was very attentive throughout our meal asking if we wanted any more drinks, etc. I had a 25% discount voucher off total bill. When I arrived home and looked at the bill again, it seemed we had not been given the full discount off the bill. I phoned the restaurant and spoke to a very rude man who, for some reason, could not understand what I was saying and twice asked me to repeat it, then went silent, so I asked if there was anyone else there who I could speak to, so he transferred me to a recorded message telling me there was noone there to help me. I rang back twice and exactly the same thing happened again both times. A little later in the evening I looked at the receipt again and I realised why I thought the bill was wrong. The ink on the receipt wasn't very clear and the discount looked like £8.13 when it was actually £18.13. This is the reason why I queried it, if the receipt was printed clearly this would not have happened.

St Martins On The Lane- The gluten free pasta was delicious, and service was really great. Damian was very attentive, while the restaurant was very busy. Thank you.

Great meal. However, the service charge is not mentioned on the menu and should not be a percentage. Serving an expensive meal takes the same effort as a cheaper one. I prefer to give a cash tip (if at all) of my choosing. It would be more honest to increase all the prices by 12½% Having a service charge does not encourage staff to give outstanding service!

Prompt, efficient and polite staff, joined in a bit of banter and made the dining an enjoyable time...

Our group of 4 of us visited Bella Italia Oxford, one of party has food intolerance, which was advised in advance and acknowledged on arrival. Notification also put on the table. Probably through busyness and noise this was not picked up on the order placed and food intolerance was delivered on 2 occasions one main and one dessert. Highlighted at the time and subsequently further, once we left Bella Italia have initiated intensive training on this matter immediately and have apologised for the situation that occurred. This is a demonstration how to make a negative into a better positive experience ensuring things like this won’t and don’t happen again.

We had a really good meal at South Kensington Bella, the food was great as was the service. Having to pay my bill online took away from what was otherwise a very good experience.
